Sean that link was to a Do-17Z?

If your looking at one of those I built the Luftwaffe Version in the BOB GB.

Posted a lot of in progress pics if you go backwards from there. Gotta ignore Guy's smiling face and Soul Crushers Hurricane Addiction though.

Also some of the best 109E's to be seen!

Hey, anybody know which way an Italian flag goes?  Is it red/white/green or green/white/red?  Hard to tell with these old decals and less than helpful instructions and I'm about as Italian as Hitler (umm....).

Also, Sean, how do you use these dry transfer things from Supermodel?   Any tips?

Dave trim around them like a normal decal. No need to worry about carrier film but trimmed close enough to where you can position it in place. I use a round toothpick sanded to a blunt end. Once the decal is in place, check alingment, recheck alingment - sometimes a piece of scotch tape can be used to hold it in place. Once you have checked the alingment and your happy with placement take the blunt end of your toothpick and rub the transfer. It will discolor from the film. Do this very thoroughly , carefully lift the film off thetransfer. I then take and blot the transfer with a q-tip and make sure it is seated. Be Safe ~ Do one half of the plane and seal it. If you touch them they might stick to you. Super easy once youget the hang of it.

Sean, here are a few pics of my Ju52 on floats. I think I said skies, sorry for that. Anyway its an Airfix 1/72 that I built a very long time ago and it has survived many moves over the years. Its also the oldest kit in my collection dating back to the late 70's so be gentle. It had years of dust on it and I am getting ready to refurbish this little beauty. I have already stripped the decals off and repaired a lot of broken parts.

I have two more of these in the stash and the kit has many build options

Steve - Wow~wee that is fantastic. Two more in the stash eh ?  That is the same kit I am building - here is where I am at right now.  Good thing our Fearless Leader is a Luftwaffe fan otherwise I would be worried posting this.

The City Hall in Acquaviva Campobasso. Half of the people in this town are related to my wife  and daughter. I think I was the only non-Italian there.

And:

In a lot of ways, I find Google images more useful than the web portal

Oh yes, your wazoo, will never feel the same again. Excellent work on the badge Frank, though i feel you paid a part in this so im going to have to think up some other devious punishment for you young man.

Aaron, get that badge in your sig. On the double MR. And hows the whittling going? Noones got theres yet?

Right, in between all the gushing i was doing, i managed to finish of the Macchi. My plan had been to use the Mike Grant decals, but reckon i didnt have enough of the suckers. So, i sprayed them instead, (That explains why they look a little dodgy IMHO) aah well, onwards and upwards. I loved this kit and plan on doing another in the future for sure. It was built OOB with only a couple of minor addons, Whatcha reckon,

Sorry for all the pics, I got a bit carried away LOL.

What?  What did I do?

I have no recolection of this incident, nor would I be at liberty to discuss said incident if, in fact, it did occur.

Whistling [:-^]

Outstanding job on that Macchi Guy!  How the heck do you do it?  You can build a stunning model faster than I can paint a spinner. Shock [:O]

Doh!!!!

Got the decals/transfers on the G55 last night and I must say Sean that I'm not sure I'm as converted as you are to the dry transfers.  Not being able to adjust them once they are on is a big deterent for me though I seem to have managed to get them more or less in the right spot.  The flag on the curved fuselage side was a little tricky with the stiff carrier plastic and one of them stuck to the backing paper.  Eeeek!  I was able to carefully lift it off with a xacto blade and place it though so I got lucky.

Shock [:O]Blush [:I]Hmmmm Frank, Like the old saying goes, "No good deed goes Unpunished". Pirate [oX)] I like the evil looking smiley. Thought it was fitting. I shall display it much like the Scarlet Letter on my bosum.

Wow I have to add that 205 to the front page now!  Very nice and the smoke rings turned out spiffy!

Thanks to all who helped pull off this little prank. I'd say Guy looked pleased though it was hard to tell?  Wish I could get Dee to jump nekid in the bed by sending her a model. Maybe that's the secret! Tongue [:P]

Did it strike anyone else as odd that the first place he took the model was too the bed?
