Guy, Shock [:O]Shock [:O]Shock [:O]  Didn't you just start that thing like last week?  Confused [%-)]  It would take me three months to bang out something like that.  Spectacular build.  Wish you would let the rest of us mortals in on your speed building secrets. Sad [:(]

I was thinking the same thing! I build fast but this is rediculous! Looks great!

I guess I'll update my "progress". Not much really. Been fighting with the struts and tonight I started the landing gear. I really lost the love for the project and took a couple of days off from it. Tonight I was looking at paint and marking choices and had just about decided on an aluminum dope scheme when I found out that the marking choice was about two years before WWII. Don't fit the GB rules. The final choice will likely be a three or four color plane that I'll do with brushes. Can't hardly see doing a fine multi color mottle on the fuse with the whole plane assembled.

deeve -  I would have sworn I had responded to your build but Its not there Alien [alien]

Fantastic job , most everyone knows I am a Fan of Airfix kits... The mottling looks good, as with the rest of the paint. The only improvement I can think of would be if you could find a vacu-form Windscreen.  Regardless Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup] and thanks for joining us.

Wyoroy - Thanks

Summit - You love Airfix kits :) Thats funny cause after I did the Airfix AR196 earlier this year, I swore I wouldnt buy another Airfix kit. Then I did the BV141b kit a little later and swore I would never build another Airfix kit.

Then I picked up the G50 kit and built it. It was a pretty good build and the results pretty nice. It may have changed my mind about Airfix :)

Dont fret it young man. You should know that my GB rules are purely subjective. Its an Italian Subject and its near enough. Go for the Alluminium scheme. Any probs...whos fault is it?

I am growing Tomatoes and Garlic ! Puts me in a Saucey Mood! Big Smile [:D] Can you grow Origanel legally in Texas or is that only in California and Canada? Shock [:O]

I know, this is insane. I am posting waaaaaaayyyyy overdue, and my apologizies. The plane is coming fine, I'm mainly cleaning it up for paint. My mom doesn't like it when I paint with an airbrush, to I try to bulk-spray my models. Right now, some seams need filling and then I'll try to sneak in a spray session. I'll try to get some updates in pictures here soon. Once again, I'm sorry!

No sweat Boba, just say a thousand 'Hail Marys' and 'Its all Dave's faults' and your forgiven.

Aaron, definately needs a little weathering and maybe a little more red!

Its definately a warm looking place you live in, big boy. The clocks have just gone forward here in blighty. That means the warmer weather is coming. Woo hoo.

Guy, absolutely sweet build and as mentioned before very fast also. I also have a fondness for the birds on skies or floats. Turned out great. I have one question on it and sorry if its been answered before but no swastikas on the tail ?.

Sorry I havent been around much lately guy's but life and other builds are getting in the way. If I ever get my hands on another RA aircraft I will build it. ( its daves fault )

Thx for all the kind words on the CANT, im kinda blown away by you all. What the hell are you all after? Eh? eh?

Steve, you have been missed mate. Hurry and get a Reggy plane, we need you. As for the swastikas. I thought at 1st that the box decal instructions were just being PC, but since finding the Ali D'italia reference book, there is an actual picture of the plane i modelled and, low and behold, no swassys!

Id like to say that using my shear skill and dexterity, i carefully whittled out the open doors in the cockpit and made it look rediculously simple........but i didnt, they came separate LOL.

Hi guys, i need a little help. So far i`ve managed to find only one, highly retouched pic of the ICR.42. It clearly shows that the little bulcs on the cowling are removed, so i`ll need to sand them, which is not much of a problem. But there`s two other things that bother me - is the plane armed /looking at the pic it seems that the Breda`s are present but i`m not sure/, and the other is the colour of the downside of the floats /the pic suggests that may be they`re painted in a dark colour, but it`s possible that it`s just a shadow/. I`ve looked in the net for other pics but couldn`t find any. Anyway i found some pics of finished models, but some were with all bare metal finished floats and others were with black floats undersides. That`s frustrating Banged Head [banghead] ! Here`s the pic i`ve found.

The other thing is where should i cut the engine block, as there are two paralel mould lines, and the instructions are vague /i`ve tried to show the two lines in the photo/.

BTW I`m pretty sure that those problems are Daves fault Whistling [:-^] !

Its the CA one that your doing, right? If so,

It looks like the shoulder above the cut line is a little ragged. Just file that flat all th way round.

Ill have a browse for some pics. See what i come up with. Back soon.

Lol! Fortunately, I just bought a new rosary! Smile [:)] But It's still Dave's fault! Ok. I got to work on it a little, I"m photographing it right now.

Good man Boba, So we'll expect the photos later tonight?

Congo, I seriously searched for ages and it appears the photo you have is the only one ANYWHERE!!! Unless someone has a specialist publication (Get your minds outta the gutter) of the subject and can scan it, then i think thats it.

Either you had some serious sink marks or thats the 21 century kit LOL.

Looks like your nailing it into shape quite nicely. How did you mask the canopy. It looks very neat and very much like Selotape.

Errrr, Dave. Wheres your signature gone? I must admit the Avatar is superb.

Those white spots are where I filled the holes for screws with mighty putty. The canopy is just scotch tape, then I put a slice on the pane. Then I ran a sharp knife around the edge.

Guy, I'm tired of telling people it's not my fault... I just accept it now! Sigh [sigh]Wink [;)]  As for the avatar I thought you would approve Approve [^].  I hope Big E or whatever name that Evil [}:)] goes by is leaving you alone now on that modern jet challenge thingy.  What a waste of time that would be. Laugh [(-D]

Anyway, pretty quiet in here lately.  Everyone must be outside enjoying the nice spring weather.  We just got rid of all of our snow and I started riding my bike last week but what did I find when I woke up this morning...  SNOW!!!  $#^@%&#*^#%^*@@^%$*%$!&*&!$#&!^$#!!! Sigh [sigh]

 Everybody now!

Oh the Weather outside is frightful!

But inside is so delightful'''''

And since we've no place to go.....

Let it snow,

Let it snow,

Let it snow!

Headphones [{(-_-)}]

When we finally say good night..

Oh I'll hate going out in the storm''''

But as long as you hold me tight,,,,

All the way home I'll be warm!

Headphones [{(-_-)}]

The fire is slowly dying,

And my dear we are still Good Byeing Kisses [:X]

But as long as you love me so...

Let it snow,

Let it snow,

Let it snow!

Dreamed I was an eskimo
Frozen wind began to blow
Under my boots and around my toes
The frost that bit the ground below
It was a hundred degrees below zero...

And my mama cried
And my mama cried
Nanook, a-no-no
Nanook, a-no-no
Dont be a naughty eskimo
Save your money, dont go to the show

Well I turned around and I said oh, oh oh
Well I turned around and I said oh, oh oh
Well I turned around and I said ho, ho
And the northern lights commenced to glow
And she said, with a tear in her eye
Watch out where the huskies go, and dont you eat that yellow snow

ACK!!!  Heresy Dave!  I can think of many modern gas-passers (not including Aaron Yuck [yuck]) worthy of the Luftwoller treatment. Wink [;)]

Been quiet around here anyone working on anything or we just singing campfire songs?   Hmmmm makes me want to do another  in box review! Cool [8D]
