Well Almost completed, had most of the warning decals to go and a couple of other minor decals, otherwise thats it. Not to bad considering I spent most of yesturday in the garden, adding the learning curve of camo airbrushing :D.

Ladies and Gents there is some mightyfine work going on here.  Mac, Brett, Neu and Tom a hearty job well done.  Guy, get off yer duff and get a kit goin.  Sean has probably moved his workbench into the privy wit what he's bin consumin lately.  I see Frank is still using those high tech stands to build those bentwing birds, if somewhat bloated in this case.  Mia and Dupes are off sampling hot sauce (ya'll really need to see the wall of homemade hot sauces at the Texas State Fair).  Bob Bailey is off putting a mean tune on that shoebox of his.  Haven't heard from Dave or Halligan, but that's probably Dave's fault (I gotta get me one of those shirts!)  Oddman's still out with his D model Sluff.  Anyone else sorry I missed ya, looking forward to some pics.  Did someone say pics?  As of 2100 14 Nov 2009 my build has started.  Proof pics follow.

Haven't broken sprue yet, but more pics will definitely follow.  Off to find some grub.

Well First I gotta say Thanks For The Great Group Build, really enjoyed it, also my first completed . I gotta say looking fwd to the day when I can get a quality build done in the same time some of you peeps can/did/will. I also enjoyed the posts, though I will admit sometimes there was a just skimming through posts when I was busy trying to get stuff done. Next time I do one of these I'll had the kids off to their grandparents for the week, lol.

What would I of done differently with more time? strip the first two coats of paint off and start again without the maskol, big mistake. But I'm set for next time now. So again thanks everybody for having me aboard and BIG THANKS to Dave for organising it

Nice job Panzer, and that Harrier look cool!

It's not for nothing I call myself the glacial modeller - this for me is light speed!

The panels at the front and back of the cockpit caused me grief.  Probably my own fault, but I painted and then sanded down and filled them around 5 times!  Since then, I've finished the cockpit, but not installed.  I've also 'Kleared' or 'Futured' the canopy, and partially assembled the mainplane.  I've also painted the cockpit surrounds (not as good as normal, but, otherwise, I'd never finish), assembled the engine, and put on the cowling.  Next step is to mask the canopy, install cockpit, and then...  we'll see!

Tom - Super Job I can here the rumbling in the hills aready from your Fire Mission...

Andrew -  Very Nice Harrier and well armed also

Buddy -  Your gonna need Aarons Opti~visor for that one.. Does it come with a flight crew

PZL update - More paint and waiting for it to dry ......  I left the landing gear off till last as I was afraid of wrecking it..

Try masking with teflon tape (plumbers tape)

Thanks for the idea Brett!  I thought about that, but don't have any Teflon tape at hand, and I need to clearcoat those bombs tonight.  I think I will leave them be this time, as I don't think the coffee I have had tonight will permit painting them freehand!

No crew on this bird, heck there ain't even a proper pit.  Just a couple of seats, so the glass will be painted black from the inside.  Looking forward to seeing more of the PZL.

Splendid work on the Harrier.

It's the three hour mark so I thought I'd post a sitrep.  After finding suitable grub, I came home and popped Transformers in for inspiration.  Could be the perfect movie: A-10's, AC-130, MV-22's, F-22, hot cars (even though they are Chevy's), big honkin robots with big freakin guns and Megan Fox.  What more could a boy ask for?  Got the wings and the drop tanks together.  Cut out the various bays for the guns and installed the mounting boxes for the guns (not so great a fit for these).  Cut out the leading edge of the portside landing gear bay and installed the new one.  Verrry fiddly.  If you get this kit, be vewy vewy careful.  Will go back and reinforce it with some superglue and strip styrene.  Got the cargo bay floor and cockpit bulkhead glued together, just about ready to install the nose gear bay and cargo ramp.  Since the cargo area is empty, the ramp will be in the closed position.  Here's some pics.

            Well, below is a picture of what I have got done so far. (i.e. not much.)

This is a combination of two factors, my my father in-laws visit, which while it is great (Yes, I actually like him.) has kind of taken away from modeling. But the second and bigger factor is that I applied my Furture coat last night without realizing the clear parts need to be used during the beginning, middle and end of the build. So I had to wait 24 hours for it to dry. Poor plannnng on my part really. (Again... )

So anyway I am going to shoot for having this puppy assembled and hopefully painted by tommorow night then I will finish it up Monday.

PZL update - Sprayed with a glossy coat of clear to give the decals something to adhere to. Other then decals just the prop, legs and windscreen.. Think I will call it a night as that C-Ration can of Pork slices is having a diddagreement with my stomache... Kinda tasted like cream corn though. 

Buddy and Scott- Excellent work guys!

Two last photos of the Corsair for the night.  Sprayed the Future coat on so the decals can go on in the morning.  There seems to be a little bit of an eggshell effect in the clear on the fuselage, but the final coats should cure that.

Still plugging away here.  Got all the parts on but still need to do some finetuning on the seams and paint the pilot before I can start painting.

Doug, for a 48hr effort it looks awesome!    The little poochie is a nice touch.  Kinda looks like Bruno!
