 That is a german fighter bullet that was pulled from the parachute of a B-17 after a mission.  Thought it was cool!

  Time to put all the stuff together and see how it is looking. Added the hoses , parachutes and a compass for the pilot that was oddly missing.

 I dunno if you can see the added texture to the floor but it's there.  I was hoping to get the fuselage joined before dark but I already had to turn on the lights. Dern time change!  Besides the long fuselage halfs seem to have a bit of waarping and will take longer than I expected.

 So where are the other slackers/!! LOL! I may need to enlist some help!

Aaron, the crew looks great.  I'll tell Alex you need his help.  We have snow here and it's in the high 20s low 30s.

Got the wings and fusalage glued together.  Painting my little pilot (1/72) I'm doing the all blue paint job on this Martlet.  Going to use Model Masters Dark Sea Blue FS 15042.  Any input on it?

OK chaps, here's the sprue shot, taken at 11pm Friday night GMT.  It's a Hasegawa N1K2-J Shindenkai.  No instructions, so, trying to work out which colour paint to use.  Just noticed the decals look awful, orange peeled.  Well, let's see how it goes!

Hi all, been a long day at work and I have to go out again so I won't get started until late tonight.  I had a quick scan through the last couple of pages and will update all the builds/changes later tonight.  Keep up the great work everyone and I'll check back in a couple of hours.

Frank, the egg plane is cool but I expect the pilot to be wearing an optivisor! 

Had a few things pop up and I may have to put the 262 & 163 on hold

I used tube glue on the fusalage and it's taken longer to dry.  Got the wheels and prop ready.  Now I have to stop to spend some family time time.  Those of you with a five year old understand  I hope to get the wings and what attached tonight.

I've got my road wheels, cables and pioneer tools paited. (paint kept skinning up on the brush). and have just finished decaling. I'm about to hit it with an (oil paint) wash... making use of this hot weather, it should only take an hour or so to dry. that will allow me some time to get back onto the track assembly.

Here is where i'm at now the Jeep.  It is WAY to clean.  The MG needs a few washes.  I finished the base.  It is a piece of sand paper painted grey.  After it dried I gave it white and burt umber washes.  Then stained it up and applied pigments.  I am happy with the way it came out. While that dried I assembled and cleaned up the two figures.  Tomorrow i will weather the jeep.  The rest of the day will go to figure, work bench, and tool painting.  Along with various workshop clutter, and even a widdle doggie.

Aaron - I'd say i'm about half way done ... but you sir have your work cut out for you.  The crew looks great. I can't wait to see pics of the wiring.

KJ200 - That was my first aircraft kit.  It sure is big.  How is the flash on your kit.  If i remember right mine was a disaster.

Brett - I am doing that kit for next months Winter Warriors 2.  How does the sprue jig hold up.  I've never used on of 'em before and I am kinda scared.

 Got kinda Quiet! Slackers!!!!!!   Ceptin Hellcat!  and the dude with the jeep. LOL! There is no sleeping!  No Loving Just mad passionate building!!! Or in my case sanding.....

This kit comes with regular old fashoned unpainted canopies as well so I covered them with a liquid mask, white glued em in place and they are my masking of the open areas for painting till I am finished!

 The fuselage had a long and uneven seam it's whole length. High and low so it took some work to get it looking right. But after some elbow grease  it is finally coming together! The Fuse halfs are joined and I think things will pick up quickly now until I get closer to the finish!

Gotta love Mr Surfacer and Tamiya primer!

Majority of the decals are on.  Had some issues with the decals on the hood scoop.  Next time I'll know....

Much more to do but I'm tired and my eyes are tired so I'm done for the day.

I got the wings attached.  As you can see there are gaps but it appears that I should be able to fill them without sanding.  I decided to leave the drop tanks and rockets off.  As for the mounting holes, I'll putt some sprue in them and sand smooth.  This Airfix kit has the looks and shape of a Wildcat but there are a bunch of stuff is missing but hey it should look the part.  I'll sand and paint the interior and then prime it in the morning.

 Hmmmmm a P-400? Cool!

 Frank  some how some way it always goes back to Corsairs with you!  Looks great? Can you scratch build the Sailor Girl?  Now that would be neato!

  Katie that model is as colorful and pretty as a picture, just the way the plastic is molded in different colors!  Going look fantastic!  Always a bit of pressure when people send ya things to do your best on it! 

I am on my second pond of Dunkin Donuts coffee!  How many pots is that? not sure but I feel AWAKE and ready!

 Way to go Roy!!!!!! Have a mug! Or 12!  Buzzzzzz the caffeinne is one of the most exciting parts of this GB!   I feel the power building in me! I feel as if I can do anything! 

 Right now I'm going to the rest room.... too much coffee!
