mucker Fred, that is STELLAR, my friend! I don't know which side I like more? They both fit the bill. Wow...you'd better pat yourself on the back after that one...that's magazine material!

Fred what Mucker said, your build is magazine material. Go for it man
Randy So many to build.......So little time
Frank Thanks for the comments. As for another 262, well i do have 3 more in the sash, but i am being really strict with myself. I have 2 more GB's to do and about 7 Dioramas to catch up on as i have just been doing GB's for the last year. So i am laying off the GB's until i am up to date. Hopefully by the end of the year i will be. Any ideas on the theme of the next Reich Defender.
jmabx Thanks for the comment. 1/72nd is what i am used to and i never really gave it any thought until i came on here and saw so many people who built larger scales. Though i do intend on building the odd larger scale aircraft and have just bought a 1/32nd Fw 190-9.
Thanks for all the comments guys. I have really enjoyed this build. It's been great getting back into aircraft, this is my second after 7 years. Some really great work going on here and i will deffinatly be looking in and picking up a few more tips.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Thanks for the feedback guys. it's greatly appreciated. The fuselage bands are the kit decals, I did have some trouble with them fracturing around the tail, but the Micro Sol snuggled 'em down.
Bish, V186 is a beauty, looking forward to seeing your planned dio too.
Frank, Riech Defender III? I'll try an keep an open spot on the bench for that one.

Daywalker Brake lines? Umm maybe... without splitting hairs sure why not? Actually human or animal hair works well as it can be attached with crazy glue. If around barb wire fences collect deer and horse hair in different sizes and colors. A fine straight black one will be better as its the right color. Its how I plan on makeing the antenna wires. the 'loop' one will be a paper tube. Now without flipping through 100 pages of this thread does someone have a pic' of the brake line routeing? Thanks
Bish, well done on a great job. Great job on your mottle, cant wait to see this in a dio.
Cheers...
Mike
Thanks spike. The dio isn't going to be anything to dramtic. Just the 262 with a ketten next to it and the pilot and ground crew stood next to it. I haven't done an aircraft dio in about 7 years so i am trying to ease back into them gently. Plus with the catching up i have to do i am keeping it simple for now.
Bish - nice looking build. What's that thing on the belly? Be sure to re-post the pics once you've finished the antennae
Thanks, mucker . Even though I display it clear side out, I kinda like the painted side, too

Fred By thing on the belly i assume you mean the pipe at the rear. Thats the exhaust for the rocket motor that was fitted in the fuselage. Its this that defines the C-1a aircraft.
Daywalker, Hold the brakes! Took a 180 and decided NOT to include landing gear. Ill explain later and post some WIP's from today's work.
Jason
I must inform all of you that today is my 40th BIRTHDAY. eeegadds. I can't be that old.
JOHN
Happy Birthday John. And you're not that old.....
Bob
I beg do differ, John...you ARE that old!
Happy Birthday! and don't forget to alert the fire department before lighting all those candles!

Thanks guys.
My younger brother sent me a text this morning wishing me a Happy Birthday
i quote "The nursing home called and said we can visit today and see if you like the facility. The nurses are very nice!! Don't forget to take your pills."
If he wasn't so much bigger then me I'd beat him with my cane
tempestjohnny Happy birthday! Cheers as 40 is the new 30
Progress happens, sometimes in a different direction...The custom engine alunimum inserts, decided not to model the landing gear. Oh well it was fun drilling the needle through the front landing gear and tire.
Makeing a template for the closed position landing gear
Decided to use the closed gun bay doors, holes for the barrels will be added.
John, you old man you! Wow, 40 years old...
Can't even imagine it. WAIT! Yes I can unfortunately.
Frank
Happy Birthday TJ! After 40, you can start counting the birthdays backwards.
Mobious Frank, Riech Defender III? I'll try an keep an open spot on the bench for that one.
I think so! Since RD I focused on the ME-109, and RD II is about the ME-262, I was thinking about having the FW-190/TA-152 for RD III. Whaddya say fellas, any interest in doing this later this year?
Tempestjohnny wow 40 years old geeze.................... I am tryin to remember way back when I turned 40 As I recall it was a fun party so to you sir enjoy the day and humph ummm night
Daywalker I have a Tamiya FW 190 in the closet needing an excuse to be built.
That's the spirit Randy!
An FW-190/TA-152 GB right about the time Eduard is releasing their brand-new FW-190D- should be a good one!
Hey Frank, I could be in for a RDIII. I have three kits in the stash and one of them is a Dora. I'll looking for dates and rules!
I sort of thought it might be a 190 GB, after the other two, its really the only aircraft left that you could get enough variety on. By the end of the year i should be ready for more GB (but going to stick to one at a time). And i got quite a few 190's and a 152 in the stash.
Count me in, Just watched a documentary on the developement of Kurt Tank's design.
Yup! you can count me in too, almost certain to be the new Eduard D9.
Daywalker Tucked away in the motorhome closet 3000 miles from here is a Tamiya 1/48 FW 190 w/ cool red car included! Sounds like its time to cut open the plastic protective bags and build it! Yep im in on that. Deadlines ect to be determined yet? Also it seems to me everyone is sick of the mini-Me progress reports so I will refraim from posting daily. Best to save some kung-foo for the big boss.
Hey Jason, Still watching the progress on mini-Me, don't stop now! It's amazing the level of detail you've achieved and I'm looking forward to seeing updates.

AAAAACK!!! Don't do that, we're all enjoying your work here.
Deadlines etc TBD, probably starting up late summer and running for 4-6 months, finishing up by the end of the year.
I am VERY happy to see so much interest in RD III! I have written down all of your names, so that when the time comes I will contact each of you. Looking forward to it! I better get cracking on this Trumpy 262, so I can be ready for the next installment!
