That sound about right Mike except  Frank and I would have wiped out the hobby stores stash of 109's not F-16 and if there were any optivisors around they definetly would have turned up missing too.

Frank while I can not deny your rugged good looks I am the official pretty boy of the Regia Aeronautica GB hands down.Big Smile [:D]

Hey Bondo, Thats the conversion ive been trying to get hold of. I read about it on Hyperscale and emailed the guy straight away. He got back to me within minutes (By email) I replied and asked for a payment method (He dont take paypal Booo) and havent heard from him since. If i still dont get any joy from him ill just have to do a standard 262 with the extras. Now that just doesnt sound fun at all LOL.

...Guy

#EDIT# I re-emailed the guy heres the reply i got,

Guy- Good man!  We're expecting big things from you fella.  Better get those elves whipped into shape. Thumbs Up [tup]

bondo- Good score!  I updated page one to reflect your new purchase.  Appreciate your offer ont he decal sheet scans.  The resin conversion was supposed to be here yesterday, but the USPS hasn't shown up with it yet. Disapprove [V]  The set comes with decals for the B-1a night fighter red "12" and a CS-92 "V-31".  Never did like the antenas on the nose of the NF, so may go with the CS-92. Thumbs Up [tup]

Cosmic J- Glad to have you aboard!  Great score on that -262, I added you to the roster. Thumbs Up [tup]

Hey, is it too late for me to join?

I've got the Tamiya Me262 A-1a - I found it on clearance at Hobby Lobby about two years ago for $13.29. I've got the Eduard P.E. set and pre-cut canopy masks for it, and some True Details wheels. I was gonna set it on a runway w/ Tamiya's 1/48 Kubelwagen and figures for scale.

I'd appreciate the opportunity - I've been looking for an excuse to build it for quite awhile. Big Smile [:D]

Frank, following Dave's tip- it is ALL his fault- I picked up a Hase S-92 today, yahoo!

I'm looking forward to opening it and scanning throught the decals and histo when she flies in.

Are you thinking about a CS-92? If so, I'll scan the decal sheet and send it to you, for info only of course, so that you can see if it's got a second set or such you could use.

Some Pilsner Urquell may be consumed in the commission of this act!

Guyster- have you seen this conversion kit? In California, you need a fifteen day waiting period before you can pick it up!

http://acc.kitreview.com/schatton4871reviewbg_1.htm

Sean- I do have to say that those big kits had a bad rap for shape issues, just bear in mind. And last, here's a preview of the Oprey guide, on Amazon, that has some useful if dated (2006) info.

They sure do Mike!  I didn't know about it either, until I stumbled across one at Sprue Bros.  Cost was $24.99, and I also spent the $24.99 for their upgrade set which includes resin flaps, slats, cockpit, wheels, control surfaces, and more.  Unfortunately, the ones I bought at Sprue Bros were the only ones they had.  But, here's a couple of links from CMK for them. Mike (Butz)and Karl- Thank you very much!  I had wanted ro build Nowotny's A/C after reading about his accident with this one.  My first attempt at pre and post shading, looks a bit rough up close, but not bad from a distance! Big Smile [:D]  As for Tamiya making a B-1a, I wished for one too for a long time.  But, picked up a CMK conversion for mine to build either a B-1a or an Avia  CS-92. Thumbs Up [tup]

Mike (ruddratt)- Glad to have you here!  Looking forward to seeing what you do with that kit.  Be sure to post some pics too of the new Man Cave when it is finished.

Mike (luftwaffle)-  I was hoping to see you here!  And a 1/32 to boot?  That scale is turning into a habit for you. Big Smile [:D]

Count me in on this one, fellas! The new man cave is almost finished, and this would be a fine way to break it in - just need to finish construction on the spray booth and I'm ready to roll. Looks like Academy's 1/72 Me262A-1a for me, and maybe Trumpeter's 1/32 A-2a as well. Big Smile [:D]

Looking at that entry list, this should be a blast!

Ok Frank, I have to admit, I totally drooled over your 262..!! I really like the over all finish especially the scheme you chose..

As for me, I am thinking of a more of a "what if" scheme.. I mean more on the order of a repair job/replacement parts a/c.. We shall see..

And thanks for the commpliments, glad you liked!! Now if Tamiya would make the Me 262B-1a

Well done Mike!  I like that one a lot.

SPeaking of previous builds, does anyone else have photos of theirs they would like to share?  SInce we have a few weeks until kickoff, I think everyone ought to show their previous work on the Schwalbe.

This is Tamiya's ME-262A-2a converted to a -1a which I built many moons ago.  Right after their -2a came out!
