Great we've already got a few responses which I've added to the roster on page 1, this includes you guys who have PM'd me.

For anybody who incated early on that they were interested I won't be adding your builds by default, please come back to me to confirm you are in.

Cheers

Hey Darson, just replying so I can keep track of this one, and possibly add my name to the roster late.

Thanks Darren for another great GB!

Please put me down with a Tamiya Supermarine Spitfire Mark I.

I've got aftermarket decals, an Eduard ZOOM PE set, and the masks for the canopy. Plus I ordered a set of camo masks from Gator Masks- my first time using them.

So when April 1st rolls around I should be all set and ready to go.

Hey Darren- always a pleasure. I would like to enter the Special Hobby 1/72 Avro Anson Mk.1. It's a crossover with the latest version of the FAA GB.

Glad to see this one up and running! I have two builds that I started but are hopelessy stalled and this is just the thing to jump statr them. I will be doing a Hasegawa 1/32 Meserschmitt Bf-109 E-4 for Gallands JG-26 ride and a Revell circa 1963 Supermarine Mk1 spitfire. Both are partiallty started but a long way from being done. Thanks.

I will have my elves put together a DO-17 and have it go head to head against the big turtle's Spitfire!!! Super Angry

Im sure they will welcome the change from Pacific subjects.

Not sure I need to check in my attic but I am pretty sure I have a Hobbycraft 1/48 Do in a box somewhere....if not I will be purchasing one.....

Thanks Mate..

I'm in!  With a Hurricane this time.  Hasegawa 1/48 Mk.I

This is going to be a good one, with all of the usual suspects here already!

A trip to the LHS turned up a decal set that when used with another that I already have will add up to make the 109E I want to do from 9./JG2. Sweet!

Mind if I get in on your star studded group build Darren? Cool

And since Frank will be building a *GASP* Hurricane, I would like to bring out a Hasegawa Bf 109E-4. Big Smile

Oberfeldwebel Werner Machold, 9. JG2. There are a few shots of him and his mount in the Osprey Book Sptfire vs BF-109. Total kills 32 at the time of his downing and capture in 1941. He claimed 13 Spits during the Battle.

Sorry, don't have that particular pilot.  I have a couple of JG2 birds but not his.  But I do have the Osprey book Bf 109D/E Aces 1939-41.  It has a nice color profile of your subject and a blurb.  There is also a photo of Machold on the back cover.  The profile is of an E-4 with 26 kills.

Daren - I am changing my mind on the build...  will be doing the old Tamiya 1:48 Bf 109-E3, marking options is Galland's aircraft from III./JG 26. I also have the Aires cockpit for that kit, so we will see how it comes out!

cheers

No worries. I picked up the Osprey book that I mentioned earlier and it has at leat two shots of his Emil. or at least two partial shots of his mount and one of him. He flew with 9.JG2 startng in early September 1940 after having scored well with 1.JG2. I like the fact that he is an NCO pilot as well. The Spit I am working on currently is gonna be from 609 Squadron and since those two units operated in the same region on opposite sides of the Channel, I thought they would make a good pair. If I can find a good NCO pilot markings from 609 Squadron I may be tempted to go that choice.

Sorry Mike!  I looked at the lineup when I signed on, and the RAF looked a bit outnumbered so I went that way this time.  'Sides, don't have a Hurricane in the case!

I'll be looking forward to your 109, and to building 190's with you soon. Toast
