Just took a look at page 1, and did a tally for each side:

RAF 13

Luftwaffe 20

Still in keeping with the spirit of the BoB!

Hey there Rich and Welcome Sign to the build.

I really like your choice of kit, everything I have read online it's supposed to be the best 109E available in any scale.  I'll be interested to see how it comes together.

Cheers

EDIT

Forgot to mention, nobody has volunteered for the 1/32 Ju-88 as yet, although that really would be an impressive entry if anybody is interested.

Darren,  Count me in,  I'd like to put together a Tamiya 1/48 Me 109E.  I've got the correct markings for a BoB aircraft.  Thanks.   Rick.

'Aces high' by Iron Maiden is playing in my head just thinking about this GB. Eddie is in the cockpit of a Spitfire with teeth clenched gripping the controls...3000 miles away from my stash of kits I feel the only offering I may have close at hand is a Ultracast 1/35 scale resin Luftwaffe pilot. Thats not the issue though as progress on my NMF 1/32 P-51 is slow and I can't allow myself to start or purchase new kits unless that one is finished.

It will be hard not to purchase a Spitfire next weekend as my next project planned is a 'Enigma bare-metal Spitfire' Mk 1a R7143 I found on the internet that was used for PR flights around Canada in 1946. Guess that is out as I just read it was built in 1941 and saw several conversions, and a landing mishap before being reduced GASP! to scrap in 1949-1950Indifferent The horror... the horror.

Interestingly enough the Battle of Britian is one of the themes for a up-coming model contest and show in Fredricton NB on May 29th 2010Hmm

Hi Darson,

Would you add me to the roster with the 1/32 Bf-109E-1 by Eduard?  I acquired this gem yesterday whilst stimulating the local economy and will start on it just as soon as I finish my current Eduard project.  Documentation is in hand and all I have to do is decide on which markings she will wear.

Cheers Beer

Mike no worries mate I'll change your build to the Spit Mk.I

Rick Welcome Sign to the build it's nice to have you along for the build.  By the way which 109 are you building the dash 3 or dash 4?

Hey there Nomad and Welcome Sign to the GB.  Airfix Anson hey, you're obviously a man who likes a challenge.

Richard a 1/32 Ju-88 that's awesome, I've seen some "in progress" builds of that bird and it's a very impressive model, so Welcome Sign to the build

Jason I must admit that I hadn't really considered figures as part of this build but if you've got the Werner Modlers 1/32 figure from Ultracast then go for it Yes and Welcome Sign to the build

Fasteagle Welcome Sign to the build and great choice of kit.  We now have two 32nd scale 109s in the build so it will be interesting to see how they compare for detail.  Oh and my choice for markings would be Pips Priller's mount.

Cheers

FastEagle scratch that request for Pips Prillers markings, I just realised they come with the E-4 kit.

Darren, Wow did you do that figure??? I see you've expanded your skills in my absence....looks great...

Oh Yeah I'm not going to make the same mistakes again and join 135 GB's this year so i've decided to concentrate on this one and add an airfield dio to my BF 110.....

darson, thanks for considering a figure into your group build. I have it infront of me right now, later on I will post a picture of it for your final decision.

Ultracast 'Luftwaffe Fighter pilot WWII' 1/35 scale #35001

He is wearing a leather jacket, sporting a German formal military hat with insignia and rank. I see a easy modification moving his right arm forward to hold a smoke vrs. the 'tea pot stance' At 18.95$ Canadian its not a cheap resin figure, more involved than some with 8 parts to clean-up and assemble.

Best thing is Ultracast is a prize sponsor at the next local show and contest!

Darson

I dont know if it makes a difference but the Fulmar Mk I is a Vista kit. I can only handle one Airfix kit at a time. Smile I ordered some PE for the Fulmar got vacuform canopies for both models and some decals.  I am looking forward to my first GB Big Smile

Thanks Darson,

Well I've always liked to Gallands BOB aircraft, but can't find the PE for the cigar lighter?  Well if not Revell's JU 88 how about the new Revell 1/32 He 111?  I really need a reason to by more styrene, LOL!

Hey Darson, been looking thru the stash, and decided to make a change up on the bench. If possible would you please change my GB contribution to the 1/48 Eduard Bf110 D. The kit includes markings for 2./Erpr.Gr210 flown during the battle. Not very colorful, but then being more of a target for angry Hurricanes and Spits, it would be more beneficial to ones health to have an aircraft in subdued markings.

darson,

Here is a picture of the figure, let me know if its accepted into your group build. I do consider a resin figure a 'kit' as it involves advanced skills, clean-up, working with CA glue, assembly with some filler and finally primer + paint. Also more expen$ive that a lot of plastic kits!Confused

Well, midnight here is in less than 4 1/2 hours and I have the next two days off, so an all-nighter (or at least a solid 3-4 hour session) is not entirely out of the question.

Got my Aerodetails 109E book open as we speak. Of all the 109 cockpits, the E's I always thought were the coolest. Yes

Nomad no problems I'll update the roster to reflect the Fulmar is a Vista kit.

Rich is the new tool 32nd scale He-111 available yet, I've seen it on Revell's 2010 release list but that's as far as it's gone.

Mobius consider it done.

SF (SuppresionFire) yeah absolutely that figure is certainly eligible, I'll update the roster.

Cheers
