And my 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.I
And the 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.I from the year before
Frank
Gamera I know what you mean mate LOL!!!!
Frank do you have a pic of the 109 without the canopy masks?
What a great idea, having been away for a while i've missed a whole heap of builds......
Luftwaffe, Daywalker...Great builds guys they look awesome.....
Here is mine from BoB GB06.....Not a very good pic i know but i have a new camera now so hopefully i'll learn to take better shots....I also have a spit 1 from the 07 GB but that got damaged in a house move but during the course of this GB i'll repair it and post up a pic......
I remember some of these builds very well! I'll try to get a shot of Herr Galland's Emil up in the next day or two, my Tamiya from '08.
I would love to really go to town on this year's projects, finish my Matchbox D0 17 from last time, do a Tamiya E-4, but I'd also like to do a Tamiya Spitfire and Hasegawa's He 111 for my BoB collection -- I know I won't get through them all, I'm already snowed under!
Cheers, Mike/TB379

Wow... you guys do some nice work. Some serious talent in this group build.
Luftwaffle - I really like your Do-17. Beautiful.
Hopefully my 109 will look as sharp as the rest... with or without the paint masks on.
Jeremy

That's if Darren ever updates the front page.
Karl
Currently on the bench: AZ Models 1/72 Mig 17PF
Outstanding work Karl, love those builds! Darren should stop by eventually to add you to the GB, and hopefully update page 1 with some of our entries.
Wow, great stuff guys!
Hope my Tamiya Spit comes out half as well as your two DayWalker.

Andrew, that was my Revell of Germanys old kit in 1/72. Been in the stash for a long time. Not a bad kit some detail was oversized but the fit was good

jmabx, i agree with you there......Karl great work buddy, very nice.....I remember that hurri nightfighter, i think you built that in 06 didn't you???
Big apology from me on my lack of appearances here guys, it's been a hellish couple of weeks at work but hopefully a little less frantic now.
I'll go back through the last couple of pages of posts and pick up any adds or changes to the roster later on this afternoon.
Cheers all
Darren, good to see you're still alive.
Know the feeling on the work front.
Thanks Karl, somtimes you've got to go head down and bum up to get things done.
Ok everyone I've done a bit of work on the badges and here's what I've come up with so far. If anybody else wants to try their hand at a badge then be my guest.
As usual there are two badges, one for the Luftwaffe and one for the RAF, so use which ever one you want.
Cheers
I like those badges, both of them.

Well done Darren!!! Those look fine to me!
Guten abend mein herr & what ho chaps, I just wanted to let you know that I've updated the roster with everyone's builds so if yours is wrong or missing just let me know.
Also I thought I might share what I plan on building for this GB, it's a crash scene featuring a 109 that has come down in the Sussex countryside more or less under control.
Apparently the airframe was used for propaganda purposes and did a tour of the US before it was saved from the scrapheap by restorers.
Looking forward to seeing that one Darren!!!
Darren, always liked that pic and that will be a cool dio. Cant wait to see what you do with it
I remember doing a dio of that with Matchbox's old 1/72 Emil when I was a teenager!
Interesting how the use of orthographic film in the original pic renders the yellow nose dark like a red.
Thanks for the comments on the lil' Emil by the way, it's Tamiya's 1/72 offering.

I know what you mean Karl, it's quite amazing isn't it. That's the reason I included the photo from Duxford to show the actual colors on the nose of the bird.
