hi all.....I want to say that even if I don't speak often about the others planes....I look at them ever and I find them very fine models made by very capable modellers....Excuse me for my bad language.......

The post shading is done.....after finished the model again same dirty by chalk powder and a very light steel dry brush......Ciao Enrico.

I really wish forums wouldn't make sweeping changes in the ways things work like this.   That is why I hardly ever mess with Facebook anymore.  Yuck!

Enrico! Your Me 262 is coming along quite nice.  I wouldn't worry about the mottle on your model.  It is of a consistent size and looks appropriate.  At the wars end these aircraft were painted in all manner of ways.  Many of the Ta 152 and Fw 190 D9's were left in primer and bare metal underneath.  In many cases if there was camouflage paint applied it was with all manner of devices including old mops and scrub brushes.

Enrico...it doesn't look out of place to me, but I admit I don't know how it should look on that particular aircraft. I have seen other types with similar mottling.

Casper...that's a great Phantom, well done on getting it finished too. The camo and weathring look spot on, and the detail in the cockpit isa stand out.

Cheers

Tony

Whoa!  A lot happened while I was on vacation!  Not so sure on the sit "update"..???.... but, I did update the front page here (I hope that is what I did).

Regardless, some cool happenings!  Caspar's Phantom is awesome!  You might have to add some reinforcements to your display shelf with that monster on there.  Congrats on hitting 5 "kills"!

Speaking of aces, glad to see Trey is back for number 8.  The Moskito looks like a good kit.

Waikong, another really nice Italian "Job"!  I love those RA subjects!

NFN, that Pe-3 looks to be a really interesting choice.  Very cool!  I also added your cool widow pic to the front page.

Last, but certainly not least, Italian Starfighter, your Me 262 is amazing!  If I didn't know better, I would think you were photoshopping pictures of a real 262!  Everything is just so spot on, the wheel bays to the mottle camo.

As for me, I started plugging away on the Canberra again.  The Corsair is on hold till I get a chance to paint the prop, and the bombs.  As an added build, I am going to build a Fujimi A-6B "Iron Hand" Intruder.  Back to the Canberra....  I put the wings together, realized the exhaust is sorely lacking.  I tapered some tubing, and made a flame holder insert.  I still need to taper the exhaust cowling some, but it is looking much better than stock.  Thanks to Helo's nav light remarks, I realized this thing is missing them, so I used the wing from an Italeri as a pattern, and I started hacking away.  The wings still need a lot of work even when I finish that.  Rescribing, flap bays and more.

Cheers,

Greg

Just to get a sense of the epic size of this beast, here is a shot of the 1/32 Phantom alongside a 1/32 Spit and 1/32 Sea venom.

Well this has been the longest build I've done in a while and certainly has been the most fun. The engineering on this kit was amazing and allowed the details to speak for themselves.

Now where am I going to put this thing.....Huh?

Cheers

Thanks night fighter.

I'm very interested in how your Pe3 build will go. I have a version of that kit, and had thought about selling it - the stash is just getting too big.  Not too much stuff you can find on the web regarding this kit.  But I'm still on the fence, maybe your build wlll tip the balance.

You know, I put this picture as my screen saver at work and many people believe it was the real plane.  Perhaps should have put this as a representative picture of my plane at the beginning of the thread.   Hmmmm...     :)

Nice job on the Me 262.  :)

Dude, I like your Fiat CR 42.  You did a great job on it.  I know because that kit is not an easy kit to work with and what you did on your plane looks great.  :)
