Changed my mind.  I've got a Tamiya 1/35th T-62A that I want to build.  I'll get on it after I finish the Panzer III.

I'm in.

1/48 Zvezda La-5FN. Planning to do it all opened up, and I'll be replacing the kit engine with a Karaya Shvetsov Ash-82FN. A whopping $11, for a Vector-quality engine. Win!

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

Maybe I'll join you with some armor later in the year, sir. I need to grind down all those in progress builds first. I got plenty of 1/35 Soviet AFVs in the stash and have had my eye on one for later in the year anyways. But the MiG was already begun...

Good.  Maybe ozman will do a consolidation of entries so we all can see who's doing what.  The only Soviet armored vehicle I've in the past 30 years is a T-34/76. Big Smile

Don't you worry MAJ Mike, i am on the dark side too. I will definitely build an AFV, just have to decide which one.

I was the only Dark Sider at the Odd Animals GB.  Good to have company.

I'm gathering resources for the T-62A.  Haven't decide whether to do a straight up Red Army vehicle, a Warsaw Pact ally or some mid-east client state.  I'm looking forward to the start date.

Ozzman: Glad the start date is next week.  I can get right on it.  Thanks for posting the build list on the first page and thanks for running this GB.

What are the guidelines for display of the GB badge?  Display when model completed or display when WIP?  Don't want to break protocol.

Here's what I'll be submitting for your consideration.

This kit has been packed away since the late 1990's.  I've ordered some after-market fiddely bits to enhance the experience.  Still haven't decided on what motiff I'll use for the build.  I'll go with either a straight-up Red Army vehicle or a Syrian vehicle from the 1973 War on the Golan Heights.

Here's a "sprue shot":

I am in with Zvezda's BM-13 Katyusha in 1:35.

The May 25th start date sounds good to me. As a trivia, that is the birthday of Tito, ex president of ex Yugoslavia. I also graduated from university on that day...Smile

Hey
      Ozzman

I ran the one last year, so I'm definitely jumping on this one.

Quick question, are only things made in the USSR eligible or can something used by the USSR like  the P-39Q also play?

Like I said either way I'm in. Just put me down as "to be determined" for now.

See ya

Scott

I really like it.   No offense, Ozzman, but I like this one better.

If AFVs are the dark side, that means airplanes are the light side. Where does this leave me with my Katyusha? Kinda twighlite zone?Big Smile

Since Lend-Lease vehicles were not technically made in the USSR they are ineligible.
