A little green overspray, and the darkening I'll see from the Future.... I may be closer-to-correct in the final product. ('cuz I don't have any intention of changing it!!!)

Red Baron: Nice work on that P-40! NMF looks cool.

Vance: Nice job on the paint. I like the olive color...even if it is the wrong shade. It reminds me of the color I put on my HO-229.

Dropped flaps & everything 'Baron - nicely done.  Invasion stripes on an early P40 are an interesting look - was there an actual machine dressed up this way, or is it a "what-if"?? (Either way I like it!!!)

The tape, THE TAPE!!!! Is all off now

And now that I'm seeing the dark green beside the "olive green" mix I used... could have used more green. I plan on a light over-coat of green for blending, that may help. (Right, but I just removed all the masking didn't I?!?!)

Yes, I'll have to stuff something back in the cockpit before painting my splotches... I just wanted to let her breathe a little bit!

Crossing my fingers, splotches painted tonight if all goes well.

 Alex Shaw:

 VanceCrozier:

peterjb - nice looking interior on your Stuka! Yes

I spent a couple of "invisible hours" on the Heinkel - custom-mixing the Olive Green paint, and MASKING. The tape, OH THE TAPE..... Should be ready to lay paint down tonight though. Pics tomorrow or you may call me Meyer.... Dunce

Good luck with the painting

Ditto you started the heinkel about two years after me and finishing before me Angry ...

So ,here my updates

Matt coat done and gears glued, also painted mechanical parts in black and added side lights

http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp139/bsyamato/modellismo/scout%20airfix%2072/100_1209.jpg

I may be finishing mine first, but I've built it straight from the box. I know you've added details that I didn't even think about doing! (That is a neat little helicopter, coming along nicely too.)

As promised - Heinkel pics today! Wheel wells painted. (I was going to add some details, pipes etc in here, but all my reference pics show the outer undercarriage covers retracted when on the ground, covering up most of the interior anyway...)

Underside RLM65 is on & masked off for the topside colours.

Custom-mixed Tamiya Acrylics for the olive-green. Maybe too olive, not enough green?

despite the quick-drying Tamiya acrylics, I still prefer to leave a coat of paint for at least a day before masking anything, just to make sure I don't pull anything off with the tape. Dark green on tonight, I may start the mottling process if I have time. Hmmm, I need to start thinking about where to display her when she's done! Hmm

Nice work on the Stuka! Looks like we are building the same kit. 1978 huh? That puts the details that does not come in the kit in a new perspective. I guess for that time it is not a bad kit at all.

Hi,

Some nice models coming out of this group build hope i can meet the standard. I started the 1/48 stuka 2 months ago (1979) added belts to the seats ,droped flaps on the stabs and wings and drilled out gun ports and added brass tubes. Here are a few photos i have most of the paint on just doing a few touchups.

I Am still here, still plodding along, but life has intruded a little more than expected unfortunately over the summer months, AND i lost my modelling space so that limits me also.

Ah well these things are sent to try us,

Cheers

 Scorpiomikey:

Still a few left to finish up. Officially entries closed earlier in the week (i missed it) But id like to see everyone's finished products. On 21 May i will be posting a new thread in general modelling showing off all the completed builds. If you want you build there, better get a rattle on.

I thought the GB ended in September?
