Ok, guys, with the the help of wibhi2, I'm gonna try this again.
For the F7F-3N:
The kit is the 1/48th AMT kit, which I recommend that NOBODY build...............
The gray streaks on the top of the engine nacelles are supposed to be exhaust stains, but they look more like gray paint applied with a brush.
And, for the Hornet:
The Hornet is the 1/32nd Academy kit, with CAM decals for VMFA-323 and glow-in-the-dark formation lights (yep, they really do!). The decals, after dipping them in water, lightened up to almost the same color as the paint, so you can barely make them out, even when up-close to the model. I thought that they would darken up after they dried, but no such luck. They were very dark until I put them in water......
