Taxtp,

I finished the 66 Nova today. I am not 100% happy with the outcome but I did learn a few things hehehehe. Here's the finished photo.

Also,

Here is a shot of the bug body after paint.

Thanks.

I just received 3 cans of MM's Custom Lacquer System" primer grey!  Yeah

The `77 GMC pickup is now fully primered!

Good work Greg. Will enjoy seeing it with color.

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Great work on the Nova Ewheeler.  I like it, what weren't you happy with ? I think it really looks the part and noted the wheels, excellent work. The grille looks great too. What did you use for the paint.

I've updated the build roster.

Cheers

Dre

Taxtp- the only update from me is that I got two Verlinden resin engines from Jeaton (thanks!!) and I'll be playing with those as I decide which to use and how they'll be mounted.  Gotta figure out a transmission..  after I get back from  vacation.

Thanks for the update Dre, have a great vacation.

Greg, the console and hubs look great. The top light bar is interesting to me. I'll be glad to see this progress. Can you tell me what to call it in the Build Roster please.

Cheers

Tony- Thanks for the compliment.  I'll probably be using the MX7000 as all the supervisor vehicles, that I've found via Google images, seem to have them.

You can call it 1997 Ford Crown Victoria - AMR (American Medical Response) Supervisor car

And if you wouldn't mind, please remove the Revell GMC subjects - I'll never get them done in time.

Tony,

Thanks. I realize that metallic flake paint is hard to work with :) There's a few things I know I could have done better, but It took so long to finish I was getting antsy and rushed a few things hehehehe. The paint is Model Master Dark Red Metallic Flake.

Thanks pyrman.

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to start the AMT/ERTL Batmobile today. I'm actually building it for the Hooray For Hollywood GB, but will post a few updates here as well.

Here's the starting photo. Lots of black plastic, kerbside. AMT/ERTL chose to bag each sprue individually to protect it, except the clear one, which was unprotected. Interesting.

Cheers

Tony

At least the body shell is one piece, no nasty seams to clean!

I've always  wondered how Batsy didn't burn up sitting behind that jet engine...  even with diverted exhausts it has got to be a little warm in the cabin.

Hi all,

I made some progress on the Bug. I got the wheels and most of the undercarriage done. Also started painting all the small parts.

Hi guys.  I'm a new-old geezer around here.  I just started a Porsche 356 club racer and wondered if I could come along for the ride here?

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

Thanks Mikey.

Tony,

I have a AMT 55 Cameo Pickup I shelved a while back that I would like to add to the list. Here's a picture of where I left off on the build and it's maybe a 1/4 of the way done.

Thanks.

I managed to get a bit more done on the Crown Vic....

the dashboard....I tried the decal - it didn't fit

here's the completed interior

I decided to go with the MX7000 lightbar - the front and rear

pyrman,,

Looking forward to seeing how your Crown Vic turns out. I've been thinking about a Tennessee State Trooper car to put behind the Nova hehehe.

Pyrman- that light bar looks great and I do like that instrument cluster- it looks like the driver punched it hard after a long night of incident reports.

I have a small project going as a break from a 1/12 build.  Thought I would build a Porsche 356 SCCA E/production club racer.  I had a Revell kit in my pile since it was re-issued in 96 and thought it time to pour some glue on it.  It's not the greatest kit, but it will do for this little project.  I didn't like the neck high roll bar in the kit so I looked for some up to date pics and copied a roll bar from one in competition today. I didn't spend too much time on the little engine as when it's crammed in the tiny engine compartment you can't see much of it.  Here is where I am so far, post more later.

That's a nice looking cage, Rommelkiste.   Much better than the simple hoop bar.

(and probably stiffened up the chassis considerably)

Rommelkiste: your Porsche looks good- love the Karmann body style. Nice job on the roll cage.

Got a little more done.  I put a oil cooler in the nose so I moved the battery to the cockpit area in a strapped down battery box.  Got the little body painted, (two attempts) and the chassis.  Did a mock-up to see if everything still fits.  more later.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

Pyr... I'm guessing that's the Lindberg Crown Vic Police Interceptor?
