Thanks Greg,

I think I have about 2 more hours of work left on it. Hopefully I can squeeze it in this week. I want to get started on the 55 Cameo again. I ordered some photo etched parts for it to see how they look. I've never used any before.

Tony,

I have two more new kits I would like to add to my build list.

The first is a Lindberg Chrysler Atlantic Concept Car. It's a curbside, but I think it still looks interesting. (Also I got it for 3.50 on ebay hehehehe).

And I have a Monogram 55 Chevy Bel Air. This one is going to take a while. I took the bags out of the box and now I can't get everything to fit back in. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.

The bug's looking great Ewheeler, I like the dash too, and the orange body really pops. I've updated the Build Roster with your latest peojects.

Excellent stuff !

Cheers

Tony

Is that Chrysler Atlantic Concept Car body painted, or does it come out of the box with that finish?

It kinda looks like brushed metal...

Dre,

It comes molded in that color. If you google the actual car it is a sharp color. Only thing is when you look at it close up, you can see slight mold lines in it. I haven't decided what color I want to paint it yet, maybe a gloss black???

E I like this one!   It's got that "Perfect" Bug stance!  The color makes it pop.  soon as the little Porsche is finished, we'll line em up!    Nice job.

Hey. Nice Bug.

I have another update on my Hudson to go with my past one.

Progress has progressed a little more than it was before but now here are the most recent pictures I have:

Since this time, I have added the rear wheels, the cabin walls, the rear seat, and the dashboard.

I'll try to get more recent pictures... I thought I took some last night, but I guess not. I'm finally nearing my end Big Smile

I got started on the Chrysler Concept car. Not many parts in this kit so I may have it finished in a day or two. I went to Hobby Lobby today to pick out a color to paint it and decided on purple metallic flake.

Dre,

I sprayed the purple over the molded color so it kept that metallic look. You can't really see it in the photo to well but it looks cool hehehe.

Prepping for paint.

Finish coat.

Covered to dry. (Lesson learned from Nova heheehe)

I'm hoping to be able to spray the clear on it tomorrow afternoon.

Later,

Eric

Tony,

Did you get a chance to look at the photo of the AMT 55 Cameo Pickup I posted on page 20 to add to my list?

Thanks.

Hi Eric,

Sorry, I missed it but it's all good now. Good work on the Chrysler, the finish looks great and the color matches the car well.

Hi Rommelkiste,

I've added your Porsche to the build roster. Thanks for joining the GB and I hope you enjoy it. It looks great so far.

Cheers

Hi Tony, I have one more build you can add for me.  It's the Revell BRE Datsun 240 Z.  It's a nasty little kit also but I am giving it a go!  There may even be a third, I will have to see how these two work on my nerves!

Eric, that purple flake looks fantastic.  it seems to be the right color for that shape.

Thanks Dre.

The color is a little lighter but for some reason the photos come a darker color. I'm almost finished with it. Just need to paint the black around the windshield and back glass.

rommelkiste,

That looks like a fun kit. Does it have a lot of parts??

Hey

I finely got time to post my WIP pics of my 32 coupe. The kit will be built to look like a car in a recent magazine I picked up. I found a resin firewall and a 409 chevy engine from a 62 chevy car the blower is out of the spare box. The Revell kit is close to the car in the mag. There are some nice builds going on in here keep up the geat work guys

Wheeler, the Z kit parts count is kinda low, around 80 I'm guessing.  The best part is the engine and underhood detailing that comes with the kit.  Fit is about a 5 out of 10.  I have made some modifications and will make more just for fit.  I'll post some pics soon.

Thanks rommelkiste. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

nomad,

I've always loved Coupes. We had a guy that ran a local junkyard that had 2 of them and growing up I loved the way they sounded.
