Hey everyone,

Thanks for covering for me whilst I was away. I've just returned from a near 3 week vacation to the USA with the family. Spent a lot of time in California, and a short while in Vegas. We enjoyed great hospitality and a wonderful time.

Great work on the 234 tyres Dre, thats just great stuff. Sorry I can't help you out with the engine for it.

Mikeybugs95 - you're very welcome to join this GB. The only kit of the fabulous Hudson Hornet that I know of is the 1/24 Model King kit, that was released a year or two back. Let me know if it's the one you have.Same goes for the Fairlane, just let me know the details and I'll be happy to add you to the build roster.

Whilst I was away, the MFH publication on the Ferrari F186 and Ferrari 156/85 arrived, which will be very helpful in getting me closer to completion on my Ferrari F186.

Keep building everyone ! There are some really diverse and interesting build going on here.

For the record, I'm good with root beer, ginger beer, BEER beer, or all of the above.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I guess since I'm new here I'll post some pics of the build that I have going on: the Moebius Models '53 Hudson Hornet; Fairlane to come after or during.

Since I've been working on the kit even while I wasn't on the roster, I have quite a few pics...

Here's where it was when I first started here:

Later I highlihted the raised area around the windows silver.

Don't mind the blue drips. The seats are masked.

Later I repainted the yellow engine components a bronze color.

After:

For those who can see red in the chrome... Bravo.

You'll notice the change from yellow to bronze in the above two pictures.

For those who saw the red, this is what it is. Again, bravo. I like the above two pictures.

Self explanatory.

Sorry about the long post, but there was alot to be caught up with.

Oh... And who likes my modelling board... uh... space...

Nice Mikey, you've done a lot of work. When does the mask come off ?

BTW, I'm adding a 1/25 Batmobile from the 1989 movie to build roster for this GB. It will also fit into the Hollywood GB. I've been looking for an excuse to build it for about two decades !

Cheers

I'm not finished with the body yet. Maybe in a couple more days the body masks will come off. The masks on the seats have mostly come off. I think theres one more left but I also have to do a little touch up on some. I find scotch tape works surprisingly well.

Also, it's a Ford Fairlane as the other one I'm building. It's a '61 Chevy Impala. But the company and scale is the same.

I tried to download that but I couldn't. I have somehow contracted that FBI Ransomware virus on my account on my laptop. Luckily my dad also has an account which isn't *completely* affected. Unfortunately the virus has corrupted a drive and I can't even download anything. I'm currently using Malwarebites and Avast to try to combat it. If I can't get it completely off my computer that way, I'm going to take it to one of my friends' fathers who's a computer tech. If I do get it off, though, I'm still going to have to take it to him or a different computer tech to try to fix that corrupted drive. Until then I'm goin to have to use my moms laptop.

Um.... What is PCN?

Also, I did a little more painting of the Hudson. Not so much details of the body but of the engine. I made a cutout for the hood ornament..

I opened the box for my Impala 409 SS, turns out I don't have all that much to do... Just a lot of detail painting some sub- and final-assemblies. I'm probably over 75% complete on that

Little update to my '53 Hudson Hornet. I started assembling the engine block last night. Unfortunately I snipped the locator nub off the oil filter and I have to order a new one. Pictures to come soon.

Couldn't you drill out a hole in the oil filter and then stick a short rod in there as a new locator?

That doesn't sound like a replacement part problem...

It's one of those semi-circular shaped rods. I also don't have a drill bit small enough and I'd rather not go thru the hassle of trying to fix the nub.

hi Guys, any updates ?

I've done the radiator for my Ferrari F186, but no photo as yet.

I must have picked up the model 20 times, but just can't seem to get down to building it at the moment. I might turn to something simpler to get me going again.

Cheers

I have a few extra Lindberg Crown Vic's, I got them for parts - lightbars, push bumpes, radio consoles, etc.  I also have quite a few sets of decals, including Chimneyville's American Medical Response ambulance and the generic police sheets.  Seemed like an excellent opportunity to build an AMR first response or supervisor vehicle.  Here's a few WIP pics:

the interior cabin

the radio console

the wheels

close up wheel detail

still undecided on which light bar...Vector or MX7000

The body is still in the paint shop.....

As always, comments encouraged and welcome Hmm

Taxtp- the only update from me is that I got two Verlinden resin engines from Jeaton (thanks!!) and I'll be playing with those as I decide which to use and how they'll be mounted.  Gotta figure out a transmission..  after I get back from  vacation.

Pyrman64, that interior looks good- nice console.   I'd go with the top light bar as it's well...  flashier.   But it would be fun to try and stuff LED's into either one for the effect (like I even know how to do that..).
