Eagle, isn't everything the Batman uses painted black?
And now, I'm seeking some advice.
I've arrived at the point of putting the struts between the wings of Stachel's Pfalz, but now I'm not sure what type of glue to use.
I plan to glue the interplane struts to the lower wings, and use the top wing to adjust the angles--but not glue the top wing. Then after they are set up, I thought I could glue the cabane struts to the fuselage, again using the top wing to position things. Then, with all the struts in place and set up, I thought I could just pop the top wing in place with glue.
I suspect that normal gap filling superglue will set up too quickly to allow me to adjust things. From my experience with it, it always does; part of Murphy's Law, I think: "whatever glue can dry before you've got the part in place will dry before you get the part in place." But it's what I use almost exclusively these days.
Does gel type superglue set up more slowly, giving a longer adjustment time? I don't have any, so if that's a possibility, I'll get some at the hardware store.
Years ago, when I did more biplanes than I do now, I'd have just used Testors tube cement. But that maybe won't hold so well.
I've even considered white tacky glue or even Elmer's, but I'm not sure that these have the necessary strength.
The plane and wing are covered by a lozenge decal, so anything I glue will glue to the decal, not to plastic.
Does anyone have some suggestion/insights?
