OK guys,
Question time, I am not looking for someone to start pouting regulations!
I want honest interpretations of a photo.
Look at the photo below, tell me if you think the tools are painted Olive Drab, or do they have natural wood handles???
I need a consensus... PANZERJAGER

PANZERJAGER
they look like the entire tool is OD. you might try a different shade or even do the wood like wood just for some contrast. i think all would be hard to dispute.
Никто не Забыт (No one is Forgotten)Ничто не Забыто (Nothing is Forgotten)

Man, that is so funny!
I just got done typing the same thing over in the Armor forum...........
Meet the crew, and there .50 cal.
I really like those Dragon US Tankers. I used that same guy on my Pershing for the TC. Miniart also makes some great 1/35 US Tankers in a few sets.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Ya, I have like 10 sets of them in the stash, there great....
I'm like Wayne.....wood would give some contrast and draw the eye to details. Hard to argue either way as you know the military.....if it moves, salute it, if it don't move paint it.
Yes and in the aircraft maintenance side if you don't know what a certain part is you "paint it black and put it back"
Theuns
Ah well, now that explains why all our ECM components were black..........
Funny stuff guys!
Here are some initial shots.
I have more to do yet but I thought you might want to see were I'm at with it.....
Just a flat aweome job on the build.

I think this looks much cooler from the reat than the front
That is absoloutley stunning Panzer!!!!!!
I finally got my wheels in for the jug. It is one of the last things to do on this build. Hopefully I will have her done by the weekend.
Wow PJ! The term "land ship" definitely comes to mind here! What a beast! That looks quite imposing!
Absolutely wicked Panzer!! Looks like it should be in a Sci-fi pic!! Blowing me away for sure!!

On the Bench: Nothing on the go ATM
Well after assembling and painting the wheels I am calling this Jug done. The parts count was really low and I finished alot quicker than anticipated. I know this is not the best p-47 in 1/32 scale on the market, but I had alot of fun building So here it is Revell's 1/32 P-47D in the colors of the 201st squadron mexican airforce as they appeared in the phillipines during WW2.
Bone that looks fabulous! Wow! And a 45+ year old Revell kit to boot! Very beautiful in that shiny finish!
Thanks stik!
B1...wicked....just plain and simply wicked..Friggin' nice Jug, man!! Love it...
Thanks rob !
That looks just superb, the metal finish is spot on...well done!
Thanx for taking part inb the GB :-)
Front page updated, feel free to grab a badge if you like.
Thanks Theuns!
B1...fanfreakintastic! How are those Barracuda tires? I have them for my Corsair and the look sweet in the bag.
Marc
Thanks Wing nut, The barracuda wheels are outstanding ! I will use them from now on where I can.
Work on the R2800 continues.
Crack Case is painted and dry brushed.
1st to do after that was drill 108 holes in the cylinders... 6 holes in ea. of 18 cylinders. 2 pilot holes for the spark plugs then drilling that out to the final size and then the holes for the little handles or guards or whatever they are.
Next was to make 18 pieces of wire exactly the same and size. I made a quick jig with some sheet styrene. Push the wire into the depression, bend the sides down, trim and Bob's your uncles... a perfect match and fit.
The cylinders were painted with aluminum Alclad and given a block oil wash on the cooling fins. Here where it is at the moment. I can't do the wiring yet since I have to wait for some tiny metal hex nuts from Scale Hardware.
B1, nice Jug!
Wing nut, that engine looks great! (BTW, the wire details on the cylinders are oil lines for the rocker boxes)
I have had some interruptions this last week but, I have been making progress in the background here.
The figures are just about done and I have just "finishing touches" to go on the T28/T95.
Next I need to get the base done.
I promise I will post more pictures tonight.
Dang that engine looks sweet :-)
I have been swamped at work so my model playtime has been drastically cut :-(
Super wicked sexy engine Marc
Better late than never!
got to finish the base and do pastels, but here you go!;
Finally, the time has come to call this one DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
