PANZERJAGER here is a pic of a brakeman filling a journal box; www.jeffpolston.com/inspectorlantern7.jpg they were filled all the time, so there would be dirty oil running from the bottom of the cover. hope this helps. www.azrymuseum.org/.../PICT0794.JPG

got it. thanks. looks like some of the oil gets on the wheels too. i will add that today. Good on you for also posting in the armor section. I think it's important more of us post in our GB and in the other appropriate forum so we get more feedback.

Glad to be of assistance.

Wayne- that is a great rail car. It totally looks the part- just the right amount of weathering.
got the guns on one wing of the Jug finished. Still making new vent doors and landing gear from scratch. I have to take a bunch of pics still, I have been really bad about it
Nice, adds a lot to her.
Absolutely, looks great!!
That looks really good B1
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Thanks all, I am trying to squeeze the max out of her that is within my skill range. funny thing is that I actually read the instructions and it is all in Spanish. Its one of those mexico revell kits.
Those brass guns look stacks better than the kit ones!
I have started assembling my MiG's office, as per usual there are allot of bits that need to be made into sub-assemblies first.
The detail however is quite nice :-)
Theuns
Here is my Mig's bang seat. I raided the sparesbox for PE backles and added tamiya tape straps.
Some light scuffing in the areas where the driver would sit on his chute back and food rests.
Sorry for poor Cell pic
looking good !
This is what I've gotten accomplished thus far for the Hind-E... a small box of easily assembled stuff that I'll need later and some scratch-built avionics racks.
these racks, or more accurately shelves, are not too realistic but they fill an empty space between the cockpit and cargo bay. I'll need to make some transformer bricks, electronics and a bit of wiring to fill these up. Luckily, all of this will be buried within the fuselage and hard to see, so all I need to do is make the appearance of these things as opposed to fully realized and detailed parts.
Once I get this sorted out I'll begin to detail the cargo bay, which will be much more involved and realistic (I hope).
Wow Dre that hind looks pretty good oob. I cant wait to see the pics of the interior when you are finished !
Meanwhile here is my progress on the jug,
started building the basic landing gear structure to replace the kit plastic pegs. Got the lower vents and exhaust made, and also drilled out the vents on top Engine completed A few sink marks to fill in how she sits now. I went ahead and ordered some resin wheels to replace the kit ones. The ones in the kit looked like 32nd scale inner tubes. They are coming from australia so I got a hot minute to work on the landing gear assemblies.

Sexy build thus far B_one...great Jug!
Love it! You da bomb B1.
So, this will be my last post on this build for a bit. I need a break already, LOL . These builds are so tediouis, that, I only do them a page or two at a time. I've already spent close to 10 hours on it already and I have just got page 1 done. I am going to move over the USMC GB and 'get jiggy' with a Cobra gunship. It's a great distraction and I will come back and forth between builds to the Hansa-B.
Anyway, here's the flight controls mounted and ready to go:
That's if for a bit, I'll keep lookin' in on this.......pressing PAUSE on the Hansa-Brandenburg....NOW.
Awesome stuff there Rob!!!
My project has slowed to a crawl...
It just amazes me how much detail Dragon left off this kit. I am way short of matching the pictures so far, but I am going for it. See Pictures;
Yes the handles on the boxes are scratch built.
hey Rob
you need a nice 1/35 canadian armor piece to relax you.
This is my rr practice piece. Here are final pics with home made rails. i will have a tutorial for this shortly. the gondola is empty because i haven't decided how to use it. right now it will be offloading 280mm ammo for K-5 but i could use a 2x4 truck instead. base length vs width.
waynec hey Rob you need a nice 1/35 canadian armor piece to relax you.
Maybe a bottle of Labatts and a bowl of poutine.....eh..
Looking real tasty!! waynec.
PJ,
I can't get over what a beast that is,
Wayne,
That looks real. It's going to look so sweet behind that K5. Man I'm going to be envious of that build.

Friggin' wicked attention to detail Panzer and Wayne...well done!!
Almost went for the Molson, can't win em all.....
as for the added details, the INSANITY has not yet begun, stay tuned!
More issues!
The davits for attaching the outer track units are wwaaaayyyy over simplified in the kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
looks like I'm building pulleys and cables and........
Now onto some progress pictures of one of the davits;
Making Progress here. Got the davits mounted per the photos of the vehicle during testing.
