Ok, maybe I can finish this thing. We had a good break in the weather this afternoon, so I managed to finish all the odds and ends on the plane itself. I still have weapons to paint and hang, but the plane is to a point where I can now glosscoat it for decals.
MC,
that is an amazing effect, very creative work.

Ok, I had a quick break in the weather, so I ran outside and did a little more painting. Finished the Pave Penny and got the first coat on the ventral fins.
Interestingly enough, I noticed a couple things about the Penny's sculpt on closer inspection.
First off, it's not a very accurate sculpt to begin with, there's some pretty big bolt holes in that access panel. And also, it looks like the reference model had a cover on the bulb. it's hard to see in that pic, but the sculpt even appears to have the little nipple you attach the remove before flight tag to.
That is pretty unusual, given that most of the time Revell makes these things look ready to take off, so I'm going to have to alter my plans a bit for displaying it. I'll definately paint the cover the correct red color, and now I'll be posing the ladder in the extended position to match it. If I get a chance, I'll also have to get some remove before flight tags.
I doesnt look too bad so far.
On Ed's bench, ???
stikpusher No progress to report for me so far. I am dead in the water with my BMP and have not felt any modeling moejoe flowing recently to finish it up...

I know how the feeling goes. I had some things come up and feelings of burnout makes it unlikely I will finish up the Enigma before this comes to an end.
Well, we've had three solid days of rain so far, and it's looking like it's not going to let up for at least a week, so, I probably won't finish by the deadline, since I still have some odds and ends to paint, and then I have to gloss-coat it for decals.
I was thinking of looking into a different brand than MM or maybe a different color. MM 36320 ans 36375 look very close to each other. At least to my eyes.
My 'Hog is moving along, I've got the undercarriage installed.
Nice work 68. I often have that problem ith US grey's.
Stik, hope your able to get back into it soon, looking forwrad to seeing the BMP.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Looks good to me. Just a thought, but you may want to try some hand brushed splotches of the 36320 to replicate what the ground crews do for touch ups and corrosion control. Perhaps with even a different brand of paint.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

I put some FS36320 on the upper surfaces and sides. I really cant tell the difference between the two colors. I randomly sprayed the paint using different patterns and went with some darker gray and tan mixed with the base to randomly hit areas for a dirtier look. I probably should have done the canopy at the same time now that I think of it.
Still working on the Nighthawk. The Eduard PE cockpit turned out to be a waste of time.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Nice hog!
After looking around and a bunch of thinking I put some 36375 on the underside. Looks a lot better in person and tried to give the A-7 a blotchy look.
ok, it's been a while since I've been able to post an update, I finished painting the majority of the airframe and got a pair of resin closed decelerons painted and installed, so I don't have to fiddle with the open ones. Now I've just got to finish the little stuff like gear bays doors, antennae and weapons, and then apply the decals.
Thanks Stik, i have now cleared mine off.
OK folks, I have the front page updated again. 68, your SLUF is added to the roster, and Wayne, your T-72's completed photo has been added. I go back to work tomorrow, and unless they get my phone login problem corrected, you likely will not hear from me again until my days off start again on Sunday, depending upon how my workweek goes.
If I get on there or not I'll keep building. I sent them an email on the 27th of Feb about having problems logging in at times and they still haven't replied.
After some sanding.
After a black base coat. Figured I would give it a try.
No worries mate, thats what we are here for.
And Bish, many thanks for covering in my enforced absence here.
Yes, I am having problems. I am working lots of overtime currently, so I have little time to access my desktop or laptop from home. I can not access either from work and my phone can not log in since the latest revamp FSM did this week. I can "look but dont touch" the site while I am at work. Very frustrating. I will work on updating things here on my days off here. Apologies in advance here folks.
I have no added it to the temproster until Stik can edit his.
I'm actually on the roster but no subject is listed. Just a TBA.
Nice start 68. I'll get you added to the temp roster, i am not sure if Stik is still haveing problems.
Going to see how much I can get done here. Thought I posted the ESCI 1/72 A-7E from VA-72 but gues I didnt. I got the pit together and closed up the fusalage. Also assembled the wings and a few other thing. This is going to be traight from the box other than the AirDOC decals.
Ok wayne, got one added.
I've been busy helping my sister prep a cosplay for Wizard World Portland this past couple of weeks, but now that it's over, I'm hoping to get back to this soon.
Bish Great build wayne, really like the finish, and a nice base as well. I will hang on until later today and see if carlos can post a pic, if he is not ablke to i'll add one to the temp roster. Do you have a preferance.

11B, GM, BISH, SIKENTBOB thanks guys. i REALLY like this one. every once in a while i have a build like this; my UN UNIMOG and my sIG-33 come to mind. funny this was suppose to be a quick throw together.
lets go with the right side as it shows the whole tank. the long barrel makes these things hard to photograph.
