Colonel, i will have a look and see wat i can find. I take it this is one of the options in the Dragon kit. I do often wounder where they get the info from for kit details as 9 times out of 10 i find it hard if not impossable to find pics of any given subject.

It's from Bison Decals, Berlin 45.

I have several sets of Bison Decals and of all of them I have only found three Tigers.

Ok, i did a search and that set of decals was the only thing i can find. The only close image is a 251/1 of Nordland which looks to be in Berlin, but it shows it front on.

Some pretty in depth analysis of the photos taken in Berlin concerning the wrecks from Nordland - might be of some help?

That is a GREAT link!! I have two different sets of Bison Decales Berlin 45 and have found matching decals for two 250's and one other 251 on that link but not the one I'm building. I haven't seen several of those pictures. THANKS!!

Have any of you seen one of these before:

The SdKfz 2, better known as the Kleines Kettenkraftrad HK 101 or Kettenkrad for short (Ketten = chain/tracks, krad = military abbreviation of the German word Kraftrad, the administrative German term for motorcycle), started its life as a light tractor for airborne troops. I took this from Wikipedia.

Dragon has a kit of this vehicle. I think its really cool! A halftrack motorcycle!

I thought I would share!

I may just pull the trigger on one of these. Maybe a later entry in this GB!

Wouldn't it be great to have one of those to run around in? Gas guzzlers I'll bet.

Haha, yeah, it wouldn't have the efficiency of a current motorcycle, but it would be cool to ride!

O ye, i do like that vehicle. I did build an old Tamiya one a few years back and have done a couple of 72nd ones to go with aircraft dio's. They were often used for towing aircaft.

And this is one i did a couple of years back.

They were origianlly desiged for paratroopers as a means of giving them a light vehicle which could tow a small trailer to carry extra supplies. Very unique and would deffinatly be welcome here.

Sounds good. Bish! Let me see how quickly I get the 7/2 finished, I may add one of these as a second build. I don't know why, but it struck me as a really cool little vehicle!

I wanted to bump this back up since this GB starts tomorrow. Granted, I'm not sure when I'll start on my entry.

But, I was searching eBay for possible stores for a 7/2, when I found a Voyager PE update set for the 7/2, $20 shipped!

I got pretty lucky!

Looking forward to this GB! Thanks again for hosting, Bish!

Thnaks Bruce, you beat me to it. yes indeed, the GB starts tomorrow. I have just stared my Do 24 and will be doing my first halftrack straight after that. I am not expedcting a made rush at the start, but a nice steady flow will be nice.

Thats looks like a nice set Bruce, but if i can just point out one thing. Its a Griffon Models set, not Voyager. And hopfeully that will be a good thing, i have nightmares about Voyager PE, Griffon can only be easier to use.

The packaging does look quite similar. I even had to check myself that they are not part of the same company. Whoever makes it, i am sure it will add a lot to the kit. The only Griffon set i have is for the 72nd S-100, thats a lot of PE.

Well guys, its now Sun 1st May, so we are officially up and running when ever your ready.

I started last week and forgot to take pictures. I'll just post some from that and then add more as the build goes along.

If anyone is looking for a nice set of German infantry hopping around their halftrack, Sogo Miniatures just released a set of four figures not too long ago.  I've linked the photo to their web site.

Thanks for posting that jack. I have been eyeing up another halftrack figure set they do. They are priecy but you can buy them indivdually if you don't want the full set. I'll be keeping an eye out for these.

Glad to be of help guys.  The set I linked is currently on promotional sale, saving you $15 and putting each figure at $15 each.  Quality sculptings like these usuallly go $18 to $24 a piece.

Gee guys, all German hardware???

If I can find a good deal on Dragon's M3A1 or M2/M2A1 US half-tracks by the end of the year I might have to jump in here. Wink

Even though i have no problem with so much German armour, it would be nice to have some variety. I hope you can jump in.

Robert, this is the other halftrack set they do.

I', not sure i will buy either set complete, but i think i would combine several from each along with some plastic figures which have similar poses.
