Okay, assembly is finished, now on to painting and decals.  Did the underside in overall RLM65, and just laid down a base of RLM74 on the topside.  As soon as it sets up, will add the camouflage pattern.

Progress continues, she’s up on her landing gear now.  Luckily, the added lead weight balanced it out nicely.

Hey Joe, you still need to add me to the roster for my latest kit, my third entry on this group build, the Dragon 1/72 scale P.1101.  Anyway, here’s how the build is going so far:

So, progress still moving slowly on the Messerschmitt P.1101:  https://pin.it/qwd64gon453ldt

Basic painting is done, satin coat is on, I need to still paint a few small items like guns ect and then start assembling.

That blue was a hard one to get right, it is not as blue as 65 but not quite as light as the "light blue" so this was my idea of it.

Basic colors ar on, it will be very hard to make it look less "plastic" without any weathering on it, these things were not in service to really weather :-(

Bush, yes it is. Mike

Thanks. I notice they do have a small selection of 32nd kit, with any luck they might upscale this one.

Bish,  This just came in the mail today. This FW190DHobbyBoss kit will be the FW-190D I mentioned couple days ago. Didn't quite anticipate the directions being in Japanese, this will be interesting! I'm doing a P-47D prior to this in order to test some painting and weathering moves before hitting the 190.  Image may contain: shoes  Mike

lol, no worries, just i was a bit confused. The 190 is a 32nd kit and i have not tried AK paints yet. This was done with my good old Xtracolour.

WOW Bish you've outdone yourself!! Love that spiral and camo!! In 1/72 I've had to cut some Tamiya tape at a VERY low angle and wrap it around, came out alright.

Armor great start on your build!!

Thanks sim. I have been thinking about cutting my own, might try out a few practice ones.

Thanks Jack. This one was Eduard. When i checked Hannants, they have them in 48th and 32nd for both Fw 190 and Bf 109, but none in 72nd. I would love it if they did.

Hi Bish, outstanding job on that Dora Yes

What brand makes the mask for the spinner?  Have you ever seen any at 1/72 scale?

Jack

Well, here it is sim.

Got this wrapped up a couple of days ago with the adition of the spinner. I do like these spiral masks, much better than decals.

So here are the final pics.

And i decided to try out a different coloured background which came with the photo set up i got last month. Unfortunaly the different cloths only cover the back and botom, but just wanted to see what the blue looks like.

Joe, andy, thanks guys for letting me jump in with this one. After that little He 162, i felt i should ad somthing a bit more sunstantial.

Please feel free to choose which pic to use for the front page.
