Dang Toshi...just when I think the best detail have already come and gone!  That thing is beautiful!

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day.  But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...

You probably won't find that one on line as i took it and have not posted it before.

LOL, give it a few weeks and you will now. I took some pictures of the Packard Merlin engine at our local museum, posted them on here and a few weeks later Googled Packard Merlin images and guess what I saw? Almost every picture I had taken and posted LOL.

It’s cool when you look for an image of something and bang! That looks familiar! Oh boy that’s my build! Or when you looking at images on Pintrest and hey! That’s my ship!

LOL, ye, i have done that before, seen my own builds come up on gogle.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Oh wow, with all the research I was doing to look up this aircraft for reference I never saw this picture.

You probably won't find that one on line as i took it and have not posted it before. I did just find some but you have to google BBMF Spitfire not on some where. Its belongs to the BBMF and this was a few years ago, 2011 i think, its changed scheme since then.

Here's where the wing snaps into place and then you screw in a machine screw into the nut.  For good measure, I took some Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and went around the wings and fueselauge for good measure and insurance.

Been popping in during the day from work but stil had to work out where i was up to. Thought i better update the front page before i forget.

Boddy, got your Buc up. I used the less risky side, would not wnat anyone looking at the front page and thinking us Brits were a bunch of perverts now would we Whistling

Steve, got your Spit added and just noticed 2 things. First one was the Polish markings, so i think we have our first none Brit Brit. Then i was looking and thinking that look familar. And i realised i had seen those markings before.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Fortunately, the tires are not as elaborate as Toshi's Mosquito.

LOL, now that's funny Big Smile

I like the tape idea with the labled part numbes.

I was thinking that as well. I think it would be fair to say its a tad understated.

And yes, the tape idea is certainly one to remember. The number of times i have looked at parts in a pot and tried to figure what they are for.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Next up is the landing gear.  They have to be constructed and fitted inside the bays before the wings are closed up.

Fortunately, the tires are not as elaborate as Toshi's Mosquito.

Great idea and very organized!

Greg

Toshi, CMK, and Bish, thanks for commenting on my little control levers.

Toshi, it's amazing me about your Mosquito fitting together so seamlessly and the way it is fastened together. As Bish said, the undercarriage truly does look fantastic. It's all looking very good, Toshi.

Bobby, 3 at once, holy cow! Looking good, and I'm very glad you pointed out that offensive nose art so I could take a closer look.

Steve, I'll say it again. I look forward to building a build I can be dissatisfied with that looks as good as your Spitfire.

CMK, looks like progress with the canopy masks and fancy resin gun ready to dig into. Ah, and landing gear underway too.

Thank you Greg!  I know the tolerance aspect for a high end kit like this is really tight.  If you mess up just a tiny little, that mistake turns into a big headache and lots of putty and sanding!  LOL!  Crying

I learned the hard way with the 1/32 Tamiya kits and the Zoukei Mura kits.  Normally, thats just a learning curb we all got to go through.  In my case, I'm still trying my best in keeping up with you all!  LOL!  Stick out tongue
