Yes I found another one in my shop that I stuffed away,   A old Monogram F-80.  I think this was my first attempt at Alclad and I got intimidated about adding other shades of metal on to it.    Well I want to finish it now and use some AM decals  for the Saggin Dragon.    Not sure when I got these decal but the tag was 1983 when they came into the shop!

That is looking really good Bish. The models are nice, and the building looks realistic. It should be a good dio.

Cheers

I'm just about ready to start attaching everything to the base. When i built the Tiger, i had not yet started useing oils, pigmenst or any of the ready made products. I didn't want to do to much to this, so i just used some AK dust effects followed by some pigements lower down.

And i kept the Schwim the same.

For the building i wanted to go with white as shown on the box, but i wasn't sure about weathering. After some thought, i wnet for my old favorite, Raw Umber oil wash, and i am really pleased with the result. The inside is not very realistic, not wood roof support and as is usual for Verlinden buildings, no detail on the inside. This was a problem with the stable door. But i decided to just paint it white rather than try and paint the door on the flat surface, i just decided it was the least silly looking.

Just got to get these attached and finish the figures and calling it done.

I think it looks great Tony. Airliners are hard to do! All that white, huge decals etc.

That is lookign great Nick, I bet you're glad you got back to it.

I finished up my 1/200 Ansett Airbus A320 from Hasegawa, nice to get that one done too. Not my best work, but it's better than being on the shelf.

This is the 9th model rescued from the Shelf of Dooooooooom !

Cheers

Nick, anybody's A6M's are my favorite kits to build. You do have to watch that toothpick landing gear though.

Nick that Zero looks fantastic. Did the figure come with the kit? The samurai sword is a nice touch. Gives it some flavor.

Good to see you're getting it done Bish, that's exactly what this GB is for.

I'm working on my Airbus again, yesterday I masked and sprayed the leading edges, and did about half of the decalling.

Hopefully I'll be done with it in the next couple of days.

Cheers

Nick, your Zeek is looking fantastic.

I have 6 builds on my bench so I work a little on this one and a little on that one. Yesterday was paint day for 4 of them so I painted the Comet the base green. A few more additional colors here and there i.e. road wheel rubber, tracks etc. then I can weather it and add it to a base.

The kit is missing the decals so maybe I can find something to suffice in my spares box

Steve,

I'm looking forward to seeing how you weather this Comet.

Bish

Been working on the Tiger dio last few days, starting on the Scwimmwagen. This is how i left it almost 10 years ago.

With a few bits from an Aber PE set, i got it built, painted and now ready for some light weathering.

Also got some done on the Verlinden building. The brickwork and great stone work had already been painted, so i have given it a couple of coats of white and some dark yellow on the wood.

Bish,

Looking great so far, and I'm anxious to see this dio complete.

Cheers Tony. I really should start putting these small wheeled vehicles into my dio's. I have anotehr one of these Schwimmwagens plus a couple of their Kubel's but seem to keep overlooking them. Nice kits.

Really nicely finished Thunderbolt, she has come out well.

Nick, your Zeke is continuing to impress. What are the challenges with the canopy ?

Steve, nice to see your Comet get it's coat. What Brand/Colour Green do you use for British armor ?

Cheers
