Thanks, Bish.
Haha, it's the 1/72 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk.VIII.
-BD-
That is some nice work on that Tempset. Damn fine masking job.
I suppose you better give me the details of that other one so i can add it to the roster through gritted teeth
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
I also made some progress on the Tempest. I got the invasion stripes down, and will mask them tonight and hopefully get it into paint tomorrow. I realized there's a gap in the horizontal stabilizer I need to fill first, but it shouldn't be too big. Well, nothing on this plane is too big, really.
Bish Will do BD, you have me intrigued.
Will do BD, you have me intrigued.
Oh it's nothing special, but I was trying to spare your feelings. I got started on it the other day.
This one should build up quickly.
Bish!
I want to add another. I got a freebie, and it's 1/72 and British. No. 145 Squadron WWII from Hasegawa.
Let's just say it's a "British Airplane Mk.VIII."
Thanks, guys. I am thinking I'll go stripes. Because apparently I hate myself.
Oh wow, neat! No idea how you should paint her, but she'll look great either way.

Will do BD, be interested to see what you do with it.
Bish, can I add this dumb Impulse buy? It's the Minicraft 1/144 Tempest Mk.V.
Fuselage went together...not so well. Took a fair amount of sanding to eradicagte the seam. And the cockpit is just a little box, but you'll never see any detail when the canopy s added, so...
Ran into huge issues with aligning the wings. Ended up just torquing the tail assembly to make the stabilizers, which are a singl epiece that passes through the fuselage, align with the wing.
So now the question - do I do the 1944 bird with the invasion stripes, or do I just do the postwar bird with the standard camo scheme simple because it's less masking?
Yeah, that's neat looking Jack!
Nice work there jack, nice to see this in somthing a bit different.
Here are a few progress pics of the Jaguar. I have a bit of touch up to do in a few spots but the painting is mostly done. I will check back in with decals. I am trying to decide if I should do mild panel line wash or just leave it pure white.
Agreed, both the meters and the biplane look very good. Very nice work on those kits guys!
Both meteors look great! I like the metal finish!

On deck: Who knows!
Yeah, sharp work there Troy!!! I always admire a well executed NM finish!
Troy, stunning job on both of those. Thank you, i will get the built list updated.
[Admiring Starbuck's space fighter] Cassiopeia: It's a perfect machine! Born to dance amongst the stars! Starbuck: Yeah, it's bumping into them that has me worried.
My two RAAF Meterors are done. A77-851 and A77-867. Airfix 1/48 Gloster Meteor F.8.

Lodni: You're off to a great start there!
Awesome! Her it is right now. Still working on cleaning up most of the parts.
I do hope it looks something like this when finished:
Of course, it will be dustier & dirtier!!
Lodni, ye that fine, will add it to the roster.
Troy: Both of those look fantastic!!!
Great to see you making good progress. Sorry to report I'm bogged down here- everyone went on vacation/holiday at the same time so I've been working a boatload of extra hours. Plus between my dad's health and the humidity I haven't felt like doing much of anything modeling wise lately...
Thanks everyone. Both have now been clear coated and I should be good to go with a wash tomorrow night.

TROY, great looking pair there, i like how your displaying them, coming on really well.
I just tried deleting this particular GB from my email notifications and then re-subscrib to it and..
That didnt work either!
A model boat is much cheaper than a real one and won't sink with you in it.
CN - really nice work on the Gladiator, you don't see that many of them built up so well.
Troy, the Meteors really caught my eye. I think I'm going to have to do one too soon.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
