Finally got round to getting the pics together of the STAP, which i actually started in Nov, but i am taking it slow.

I have put it together in sections and will paint it that way before putting everything together.

First the top of the STAP.

And both halves of the body.

And the riders platform.

And then the droid, the body and head have al ben put together.

And the legs and arms.

Its since been primed, so now ready for paint. Just got to decide what colours i am useing.

I think the snow speeder is in my top 3 favorite star wars vehicles.  

Nice progress GA. Looking forward to more.

The speeder looks just right GA. She's going to look perfect with a little weathering.

Then with primer and grey coat, and hightlights on parts.

Then where it is at now.

NowI have to add the different colored panels and do some detail painting then clear coat, decals and weathering!

I did add some dry-brushing but it does need more. Going to try a little heavier and use a little lighter silver colour too. Thanks guys!!!

Looking good G. Te, a bit of highlighting on the blaster will really set it off.

Looking good! Only thing I can think of for the blaster is maybe drybrush a bit of silver to highlight raised features...? 

Mostly finished Han's hands yesterday. Still need to blend in his knuckles a little more. And the blaster needs something...

Hi Ted, this is my high tech set up below. I use the camera on a tripod so I can max out the f stop at 22 for depth of field.

The bolts are the clear red plastic, unpainted. I think how much they pop out of the photo depends on whether they are angled to pick up the sun light or the light reflected off the sheet of white paper.

I was suprised at how much infill light came from holding up the sheet of white paper to reflect light.

By this time the clouds had gone so the light is too bright and sharp to take good photos - even though I was in shade.

Oh, and sorry, Ted...very nice looking ATM6.

Great results!  Nice photobooth as well.  I will be stealing your technique . 

My brother bought me the at-st kit which comes with the clear red blaster bolts.  It looks like you used them for some of your shots.  The instructions give suggestion of painting with clear red mixed with white.  I'm curious, did you paint yours?  If so, do you mind sharing what colors you used?

Thanks for the kind words fellas, it looks that good due to careful photo selection and editing.

The pictures were taken on my back deck on an overcast morning to reduce shadows and a sheet of white paper to get a bit of backlight. The model was on the darkest coat in the wardrobe. I was pretty happy with them.

No more spoilers please...

The construction was very easy as is common with the Bandai kits from what we have all seen. So I had fun with the painting to get to the finished product.

Again Bish, thanks for running a very entertaining and enthusiastic group build. Now I can head off to see the movie...

Just got back from watching Ep IX and really enjoyed it. For me the best of this trilogy and really cleared things up.

There was a programme on the BBC the other day all about the making of the original movie and they were talking to the British guy who was responsable for many props including the weapons. Its just so British how these things were cobbled together. He even had one of his original light sabers that he had made for Luke, they cost about £12 to make.

Actually Han's gun was based off a broomhandle Mauser. It's just the kit gun has an added brace and a few extra knobs on there. Not sure why they molded it that way. I did look around in case he did use different blasters in the three movies but I didn't see anything that looked much like the kit part.

Ok this is cutting it really close.   I want to change my entry to this:  1/144 Ban Dai Tie fighter and Darth Vaders fighter.  forgot I finished these the middle of last month.

Then I can at say I finished this GB.
