Or it could be a heap of discarded ideas, old tropes and cliches which the current Mouseketeers are drawinng their inspiration from.

Apologies.  Much anger in me still from The Last Movie.  Finished I am from watching anymore.  Focus will I on making nice model kits.  But from the sequels NOT.

I believe you are correct, it does sound like Palpatine. But, I had to take a second and third look, and realized that was one of the detroyed Death Stars in the ocean.

I woundered if it was. Given the size and shape, it didn't seem it could be anything else.

First post updated with the name of Ep IX. For those who have watched the trailer, is it my imagination, or was that Palpatine laughing.

Good to see you jumping in guys. That B-Wing loks nice, will be watching that, thinking of adding it to my small scum (sorry, Rebel) fleet.

My Imperials need someone to shoot at.

Being rebellious every now and then is a good thing lol !!

Agreed, but i think blowing up a Death Star may be taking things a tad to far. A strongly worded letter might have been sufficant.

Hi guys,

a lot of nice selections! I think I am keeping with the original trilogy this time around. Bish, if you would sir, put me down for Bandai's 1/72 B-wing. If time permits I will try something else. Also, I am currently working Annigrand's 1/2256 star destroyer, so that will slow my build time down.

Just personal opinion, but I thought the Solo movie was decent. I'd put in under rogue one but ahead of the other disney movies.

The Empire is represented here quite well.  Huh?

I'm going to check the Rebel flavored offerings at the local hobby lobby.

Real G

Hogfanfs, others have already lighted the engines AND cockpit!  As for me?  No, I‘m not gonna do it.  Besides, if I lit the cockpit, I’d have to make a really tiny porno pinup poster for the rear bulkhead, like the studio prop had.

I wonder when will Bandai give us a 1/72 TIE Bomber and 1/12 Imperial Probe Droid?  The Shizuoka show is happening next month, so I’m hoping!

It's nice to know the blockade runner has the size to be lighted. And, yes, I'd love to see 1/12 Probe Droid, i'd even settle for 1/48.

Even though i have done the 72nd Multi Verse bomber, i would deffinetly get anotehr if it came out in plastic. And a 1/12th probe droid would be nice to have aswell. I have done the 72nd one and its a nice subject but a larger one would be even better.

That's a really cool build Bruce!  There's a lot of detail packed in there for that scale.

Bish, I've decided what I'm going to build.  There seems to be a lot more Rebel Scum popping up that need to be shown the might of the Empire.  I'm in with Bandai's 1/72 TIE Striker.

This is what I build last December for a fiend of mine as a Christmas present. It's the 1/144 Bandai Death Star Attack Set. And it was a really fun build.

Here are the pictures:

Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think.

OMG! I just realized, I'm Rebel Scum too!!! Big Smile

Real G

I know the GB starts in May, but I dry fitted the Blockade Runner to see where attention would be needed.  I compared it to Bandai's Star Destroyer and another one that was built a long time ago, in a childhood far, far away...

If jumping the start line disqualifies the kit, I have others!  Stick out tongue

That actually is a really nice size, G. Would you think it's possible for lighting with this size?

But, I think you should be disqualified for being Rebel Scum!! Buuuuuhhhhaaaahhhhhaaa!

@Bish,

Take me off the tentative list and make me full blown in the GB. I'm having to much fun trash talking the Rebel Scum!

You know how much of my hard-earned taxes went into building those two battle stations? Then a bunch of rebels blow them up like the galaxy's most expensive fireworks display. I hope it was worth it rebellion punks...

Yes, Alderaan's fault. They should have spent years in investigations, endless special councils and used the press to shame the Princess into revealing the location of the rebel base long before the empire had to be bothered to fly all the way there and use up all that energy to shoot them.

I agree...

Alderaan had the higher ground... from a certain point-of-view.

Hogfanfs, the Rebel scum getaway vehicle is 1/1000 I think.

I normally buy only bad guys, but Star Wars is the exception. They are all cool looking!  Just Ep IV, V and VI, to be clear.

Bish,

I'll throw in with Bandai's diminutive Blockade Runner.  I figured I was going to build this one real soon, so what the heck, one more GB can't hurt, can it?

A friend in Japan who helped me get a replacement part from Bandai sent me this as a surprise Christmas present (thanks Greg!), so I am determined to honor him by finishing it.

Bloody hell, more Rebel Scum?!?!?

Hey, G, what scale is that?
