That's a really cool build Bruce!  There's a lot of detail packed in there for that scale.

Bish, I've decided what I'm going to build.  There seems to be a lot more Rebel Scum popping up that need to be shown the might of the Empire.  I'm in with Bandai's 1/72 TIE Striker.

Hogfanfs, others have already lighted the engines AND cockpit!  As for me?  No, I‘m not gonna do it.  Besides, if I lit the cockpit, I’d have to make a really tiny porno pinup poster for the rear bulkhead, like the studio prop had.

I wonder when will Bandai give us a 1/72 TIE Bomber and 1/12 Imperial Probe Droid?  The Shizuoka show is happening next month, so I’m hoping!

Even though i have done the 72nd Multi Verse bomber, i would deffinetly get anotehr if it came out in plastic. And a 1/12th probe droid would be nice to have aswell. I have done the 72nd one and its a nice subject but a larger one would be even better.

It's nice to know the blockade runner has the size to be lighted. And, yes, I'd love to see 1/12 Probe Droid, i'd even settle for 1/48.

Being rebellious every now and then is a good thing lol !!

Agreed, but i think blowing up a Death Star may be taking things a tad to far. A strongly worded letter might have been sufficant.

The Empire is represented here quite well.  Huh?

I'm going to check the Rebel flavored offerings at the local hobby lobby.

Hi guys,

a lot of nice selections! I think I am keeping with the original trilogy this time around. Bish, if you would sir, put me down for Bandai's 1/72 B-wing. If time permits I will try something else. Also, I am currently working Annigrand's 1/2256 star destroyer, so that will slow my build time down.

Just personal opinion, but I thought the Solo movie was decent. I'd put in under rogue one but ahead of the other disney movies.

My Imperials need someone to shoot at.

First post updated with the name of Ep IX. For those who have watched the trailer, is it my imagination, or was that Palpatine laughing.

I believe you are correct, it does sound like Palpatine. But, I had to take a second and third look, and realized that was one of the detroyed Death Stars in the ocean.

I woundered if it was. Given the size and shape, it didn't seem it could be anything else.

Or it could be a heap of discarded ideas, old tropes and cliches which the current Mouseketeers are drawinng their inspiration from.

Apologies.  Much anger in me still from The Last Movie.  Finished I am from watching anymore.  Focus will I on making nice model kits.  But from the sequels NOT.

From everything I've read, the Emperor has indeed returned. At the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, after the trailer rolled Ian McDiarmid was on stage and in Palpatine's voice ordered that the trailer be played again. He's also listed on IMDB.

Yeah, I heard about McDiamid coming out after the trailer at the con. Not idea how they'll work Palpatine in unless he's a force ghost or in flashbacks. I have no idea how they could have him survive the destruction of Death Star II or being a clone without it being silly.

Even the title, is Reye now to be a Skywalker? Luke is dead. Some have suggested 'Skywalker' is now a generic term for a Jedi like Caesar for emperior. Guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Real G, I can relate to the anger you have. I was considering not going to see the last movie also, then I figured after 40+ years invested in this franchise I may as well see it to the end. Who knows, hopefully we will get new model subjects out of this.

Sorry about the rant.  I am just so disgusted with the films from the prequels on.  I wanted to like them because, hey they are Star Wars, but just could not in the end.  The Last Jedi was The Last Star Wars for me.

Rogue-I irritated me with useless cameos and vehicle designs lifted from the OT reject pile, but the surprise ending changed my final evaluation.  So it is the only one I'll watch from time to time.

I've been searching for a model so i can contribute...

Is most everything star wars snap fit and painted?

I'd rather not do a monster like the millennium falcon, star destroyer, or death star.  But i still want to glue and paint.

T e d

Post script: i like all the movies... hey, they're star wars!  But i have to admit jar jar, the flying nun, and the slapstick in the last jedi tests my patience.

I wasn't born when the originals came out and was a kid when the prequels did. People give the prequels a lot of hate but I enjoyed them. The only thing I knock them for is Jar Jar and the over reliance of cgi. The new movies rogue one is by far my favorite of the Disney era. It just felt like a star wars movie. Now I don't think they could possibly make a bigger pile of poo than the last Jedi but will have to wait and see. The fact that J.J. Abrams is back directing and Lucas has been advising makes me believe that this one will be better. Other things to check out is the clone wars animation series it's really good. Also really excited to see the amazon series the mandalorian.
