Wish I could say without a doubt that I have something for this.  I cant and I'll have to look around for something.

On Ed's bench, ???

Hi Buddy,

This is my first GB in quite a while. I'm glad to be back and this is always my favourite. I'll start with a Hobby Boss 1/72 Me 163B Komet, finished as Spate's Red Komet. (I bought the paint today). I'm really looking forward to it.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Tony,

Welcome back and glad to have you aboard! I've got you added to the roster.

Scottrc,

I've added the D-VII. Don't think we've had a WWI plane built for this.

Image previewWhat's the best/easiest way to attach pictures to this thread? These are the options my son and I are considering for this GB. Also, I have a request if anyone is able to assist.  My son is interested in building one of the Japanese planes, but the decals are definitely old and I'm wondering if they will be useable. Would anyone have any Japanese marking in 1/48 they would be willing to part with? Thanks in advamce, Mike

Mike,

You have to use a third party photo hosting site. Photobucket was the recomended hosting site because it was easy to use and even better, free. A year or so ago, they went off their rocker and decided that if you wanted to post from your account to forums such as this, it was going to run you several hundred dollars a year. Needless to say, we don't use it anymore. I use Fotki, costs about 20.00 USD a year for 130 GB of space. It's also pretty easy to use with forums now as long as I'm at a desktop. For some reason, I can't post pics to the forum from my phone (may be an id10t error). Others have their favorites and hopefully will chime in.

ajd3530,

Have added you to the list. Welcome to the madness!Welcome Sign

Lewbud, I guess I may end up going back through my options, such as posting pics to my facebook and copying from there. Thanks for the head's up. We're planning on this being a project with my two boys and myself.

Everyone here was a new guy once. I've added your gray ground target to the list. Welcome to the Madness!Welcome Sign

Got the Gnat on the list (for some reason, I thought Steve told me that last night). Hopefully it uses the same yellow as the helo you did earlier so you can use it all up.

Caveman,

If this is the only weekend you can do this, go for it.

Linus,

The start time is 0001 28 November. I was using the start time on Friday as an example. If you start at 1700 on Friday, you have until 1700 Sunday to finish (48 hours). You can start any day you want beginning on 28 November, just remember you have 48 hours. I went back and read the rules and saw where you got confused and fixed it. Come join the madness, we have cookies!

We have COOKIES!!!!  Alright!!

Well, I'm still moving in the new house, but should have a bench up enough to satrt some building!!!  I'm very excited to get back to building!  I think I found the kit I'm going to do.  As I was uppacking my 500 kit stash I came across an Eduard Weekend edition 1/48 I-16 Type 18 kit!  I thought...weekend edition...BRILLIANT!!  LOL!

I'm liking the looks of it and am excited to jump in and start.  I just hope I have my paint booth ready!!!  LOL!

Anyway, I'll get you a pic soon of the kit.
