John please add this Eduard Mig as a dual build for this GB. This Mig 21 is a comission and need to start on it ASAP so might as well include it here. I also have a separate thread going on on the aircraft section regarding the pit color.

Red 4326 shot down 13 of our aircraft during the war and is on display in Hanoi.

Now back to my Thud..........got the wapons and tanks cleaned up

and the fuselage closed and cleaned up with wings attached

I'm getting ready to put the cammo on my Hun. I love this picture. Gets me pumped up to paint (even if it's black and white!)

Jmoran's status is now Sick Bay, but he's still on the list so we will keep his welfare in mind.

Looks like there is lots of progress.  Really thinking about sending Steve (PJ) to the grease trap for selecting such an effective enemy!  Might have to build an F-4C that Robin Olds flew on Operation Bolo.

Started working in the cockpit of the OV-1 Mohawk.

Almost there on the F-14. Just have the canopy and some ordnance left.

Some more progress to report.

Landing gear painted and installed and more decals applied.

All I have left is some detail painting, a couple gear bay doors, the rest of the decals, and some ordnance. The finish line is in sight, if a couple sessions away yet.

I also have to verify Milspec's omission of the national insignia on the wings in their decal placement guide. I have this sneaking suspicion it's an error, otherwise their decals are fantastic.

 

 

 

 

Looks good, Sir. I feel you pain about the decal callouts. My instructions completely omitted the decals for the ordinance, that was fun. Then the kit call for about 3 times as many "no step" locations than the sheet provided. So lame. I had to make tough choices about where to not place many of theml. You F-14 is looking very nice.

Looks like we'll han an F-14 on the trophy wall soon.  But ordnance can take awhile.

Is it sandable/scribable? I never use anything but Slo-Zap or Medium Zap, but it's good to have an alternative...

I really like it. It seems to keep much better doesn't dry out

 

 

I also noticed it stays fresher longer than the other ca's and it's very strong too.
