Been working on the other wall for the last few days and after finishing decided to deepen the effects on both some.

Will do frank, will get that added. I am not a fan of that tank either, i only have 2 110's in the stash but have avoided getting that option.

Crown and Gamera, thanks.

knox, whoops got it mixed up  so Kdog great job on the pilot. Yea this pit is VERY well detailed. I haven’t started on the side walls yet so there’s a bunch of more parts yet to come.

Plasticjunkie,  I messed up my post. That is Keavdog’s pilot, and I thought he did a great job on him.

Your plane is looking great. That cockpit is crazy detailed.

Bish, add this Fujimi Bf 110 to the list. After several days of hunting I finally found an MTO decal set for this build. The last twin engine build I did was an Douglas B-26 for your 80 Years of Airfix GB. Should be interesing. BTW: It won't have that ugly long range tank slung under the fuselage, that's for sure.

I'll bet you don't like bullfrogs or goiter either!

Mustang: That looks good! You took more effort than I did in painting all air tanks and other details.

PJ: Wow, now that's a detailed kit. I think mine had about five parts to the cockpit!

Frank: Good call there, the big tank thing looks horrible under there. Though for some reason I was thinking it were a life raft (maybe it's the ribbing?)

John. Your me-109 is moving along nicely. The pilot looks very sharp.

Knox . 1/72 109 wow I like the scale but too small for my eyes.

Gamera.very cool cockpit.

JBR. neat looking jet.

Joe. the wash is done Beautifully.

Knox, the pilot looks really good.

Joe, good paint and wash work bringing out detail.

This step of the pit build is about 34 parts, with more pe parts to added later on. There are some parts being left off for now to make painting easier. Trumpeter provides withbeither the plastic kit seat bottom or one from pe. I decided to use the pe one, folded and secured with ca.

The decal sheets look to be very complete. The IP is made out of several parts anddecals that get sandwiched to create the realistic looking instruments. The clear part will get a coat of RLM66 and the middle piece where the decal will seat will be flatblack.

Wow PJ the motor looks great.

Got the fuselage buttoned up and the wings together and a rough Franz Elles to sit in the pit.

He needs a flat coat to take him home

I’m a figure painter, so I enjoy seeing tank and airplane figures.  A nice job, and he is concentrating on his next move.

There is some great work being posted, but I haven’t chickened out yet

Thanks Joe. Yes it will get some light weathering once mounted in the fuselage along with scratch built lines.

Bish I hadn't thought about an anti-glare panel but that is a good idea

Mustang The part to the engine intake is going to be a different color so I left it off until it was painted.

Gamera Thankyou

Knox: Thanks for the comments man. Progress is ooking great on yours so far. You guys and these teeny 1/72 builds. My hat goes off to you all that build in that scale.

JB: Progress on that bird is looking very good. I take it that the forward section of that engine will NOT be visible right? Love the NMF and camo mix.

John: I've been looking forward to one of those Tamiya Trops being built up. Things are looking good so far on your build. Say.....what was the problem you had with the Tamiya Panel Liner? Pilot looks great and can't wait to see some paint flying on this thing bud.

Ernie: That engine is looking good!! Gonna weather it any?

Frank: That wouldn't be the first time I've seen or experienced first hand about the masks not fitting. Looks like you handled it well though.

All: Still working on mine. I'm doing all the detail painting in the main landing gear bay right now which is ALOT of work. No notable progress enough for photos but getting there.

Now i think that will look nice. I painted an anti glare panel on the nose in front of the pilot, might be worth thinking about.

Nice, i like heh scheme you have gone for. I did all over NMF, but the mix of NMF with camo on the wings looks good.

Thanks Bish,

I'm thinking about doing some mottling along the fuselage if I can work up the courage.

A lot of great builds going on.

I was able to make some progress on my little raptor. I thought it looked like a tadpole until I got the wings on.

Looks cool Knox! All of those schemes look good.

I sealed up my Bf-109 yesterday. Took some photos beforehand. I didn't have any German seatbelts so I used Japanese ones. I think I remember somewhere that they were replaced.

Waiting for the body to dry, so I dug out a 1/72 Airfix 109 and started it.  I’m going to do one of the schemes from the decal sheet, just not sure which.  I will probably do more than one when I get another plane built.

Painted the engine today but will add plumbing to dress up this power plant once mounted  in the fuselage.
