Gamera

Good luck with the resin parts! I've had some fit like a glove and others- well I had to sand the krap outta them and the fuselage to get them to fit.

Thanks Cliff. Trust me pal....this can't top my Maverick build in terms of difficulty. This right here......should be a complete cinch in comparison.

Nice cockpit detail you've added.

got some work done on my Me210,  feels kinda like a older Airfix kit, some panel lines are rather wide and deep.  hollowed out all 24 exhaust stacks, I'll get a picture of that later once they are on the engine

Had to add a shim between the fuselage and wing root as the gap was too big.

Can't wait to see progress Cliff.

Ok gang.....got the fuselage halves cut from the sprues so now it's clean up and test fitting of the resin parts into the fuselage.

After building an Eduard Fw190A series kit a few years ago I can say that I really like Eduard kits. Loads of detail and turns out a good build right out of the box. Looking forward to your Emil build here Wingman.Yes

I spent most of yesterday trying out different image hosting sites. For the moment at least, I'm going with ImgBB. Hopefully the ads aren't too intrusive.

I know little about 109s so I'll be learning as we go along. I started a 1/32 Eduard Bf108 back in the summer as a diversion but this will be my first Eduard kit(s) completed.  And, I've been working on a 1/24 Hellcat for well over a year, handling this itty bitty 1/48 109 is going to take some getting used to. Lol

Now that the disclaimers are out of the way, here are a few pics of the kit. All I accomplished yesterday was snipping out a few parts and cleaning them up. Still undecided, since this is a double kit, whether to do one at a time or to work on both. I plan to do an E-4/B so I can use the included bombs and carrier and possibly an E-3 from June 1940 with no yellow.

Here is what I found inside the MPM Bf 109v1 box, and the box art.  As usual with short run kits the moldings are a little soft and a lot of the detail is in the pe parts, I didn't photograph them but you can see what's there in the instruction sheet attached.

Started  work on the pit today.  I’m a “ for fun” builder, so sharing my work is intimidating.  I messed up the PE chains, but under a closed cockpit it won’t be noticeable.  Being part of a group build is fun.

Bish-please sign me up for a bf109E-4/7 Jabo, Hasegawa 1/48.  Going to be a crossover with Lewbud's CAS GB....and maybe even Glamdring's 50 Shades of Grey GB, depending on the camo scheme I go with.

Thanks

Some good selections from the crowd on this one.

I really thought that last build of mine was going to do it in for me but I'll be making my way back to the bench in the next day or two.

This is my first group build so this will be a new experience for me.  I started this kit today.  Hopefully I’ll have a progress picture tomorrow. There was a lot more detail in the cockpit than I was expecting, and I’ve had a lot of fun so far.

Well, I think I'm on my way. If this link works. Lol  In case it does, this is the kit I'll be starting with. I'll work on the image sizes, get it all sorted out and show the specifics soon.

Happy New Year and, I'm looking forward to this.

OK, this is where I begin in the morning. This kit has lain dormant in the closet for maybe three years. Now with this Group Build I can finally get the finished model on the shelf. Hopefully, when it's done it will resemble Yellow 11. Happy New Year y'all.

Well somehow time got away from me and I neglected to throw my hat in the ring. So if it pleases the court I'd like to enter the Hobbycraft Bf-109B since I finally found some decent Luftwaffe decals for it.

All I can tell you is....don't try it Martin. It's addicting given the mechanical minds that we have. lol

Ok gang.....I'm all set for this. Here's what's in the arsenal for this build. I may start cleaning parts up just to have something to do in the mean time.
