Hey folks, less than 2 weeks till BK starts matching Santa's to giftees.  He's got to get the paperwork off the table before he can dig into the turkey and dressing.

Ours run about 90% auto kits, a few ship, 1/35 armor, 1/48, more 1/72 in a/c.

I can get out with maybe one

Ran in yesterday to get a new Xmas tree and they had kits on sale. Left with only 2, that was not easy.

Not sure if its a regional thing or if its company wide, but my local HL since getting rid of the coupon, has all its boxed model kits at 40% off very frequently. You may want to check if your local store does the same.

 

it has seemed to be every two weeks the 40 percent off takes effect, here at my hobby lobby.

I've bought several kits from Hobbylink over that past few months and all have arrived within two weeks. Stuff within the US is taking longer however. Should be an interesting season. I don't want to draw early as we usually have one or two late shows to the party and I don't want to toss a wrench in the works. Some of us just may have  a bit of a late start, but it's all good.

Could be a revival of brick and mortor.  See it:  Buy it!  I can speak from experience this year, I've already started some of my Chrimmas shopping by just pulling things that I find off the shelf rather than trusting potential shipping delays.

 

 

 

 

I completely agree with that. Unforturnately, I only have a HL in my area, so I am forced to shop online to find anything outside their small supply and lack of 40% coupon also made me stop shopping there. I used to enjoy swinging by and picking up a kit with the coupon, but not now. They did away with it. Thier loss.

No kidding???!!  They did away with the one thing that actually justified a trip?  YUCK.  I mean, they've been trimming their model offerings for some time now so it's not a huge loss, but I'm shocked they ditched their coupon.  

Though truth be told, it's been a spell since I set foot in a HL.

The way my Amazon and Mega hobby orders are taking so long to get delivered lately,  might not be a bad thought.  Especially considering we have a couple from overseas and our northern neighbors.

 

really?   thats all internal shipping problems there, then!  I usually get my mega hobby ordered two days after notification of shipment....granted, I'm right across the river....

i ordered a Zvesda 474, and got it in about 3 weeks from Estonia.

the Amusing hobbies Löwe kit I ordered in early august from China on the other hand.....still haven't seen that.....

16 so far, I think this is the largest crew yet to date. This will be epic.
