Those night fighters look inspiring.

Still waiting for my package but delays are significant

Ya, the world wide shipping issues are getting out of hand. It won't return to normal for a few years yet. Hopefully it will show it sooner than later. I'll look to see if I can find out what it is anyway for you.

Where you going to try out Meng's 3D decal zimmerit or go with a homemade application?

I am going to go with a home brew zimmerit. I watched a video of Mengs decals and I was not impressed. I think I can do better by hand. This will be interesting to say the least.

Wow, SS went above and beyond this year. So many stellar kits.

My SS shocked me with the kit I got. I have to admit I am a bit short of words with this one. Thank you SS, you nailed it. I can't wait to get going on this one. I've been wanting to go a winter camo German armor build for sometime now and this is the perfect candidate. I even get to try my hand a zimmeret as well. This is will be my fave for the this year for sure. Awesome!!!

BK

From what little I know of Meng and their parts count, you have a project on your hands.  Looks interesting, might have to wander into the dark side one day

This is a very interesting subject and worthy of some special attention. I have been trying to get myself to build a dio with my armor but I have not yet gone that far. Having said that, this tank on the box art has a great war photo of it in distress. I may have to build the dio up like this.

BK

That would make a great dio.  Where you going to try out Meng's 3D decal zimmerit or go with a homemade application?

This is going to be a great year to watch the building!

goldhammer88

Glam - with last year's, you're on the way to an armored division.

That's for sure!  Maybe a Brad will be in store next year.

This will actually be my first Abrams and is definitely scratching an itch that I have had for a couple years.  I have a couple M2s in the stash, but they kept slipping down the queue for various reasons as time went by.

I can barely contain myself from tearing into the box...need to get that Paladin done first!

Thanks!  It looks to be a  very nice kit.

I might buy a couple detail sets for it.  Maybe do a tiny bit of scratchbuilding on it.

Somebody loves me! I asked SS for something in braille scale german armour from WWII, (trying to be mindful of cost), and received this magnificent King Tiger in 1/48. My heartfelt thanks to whoever sent this. I am going to enjoy this!

That box art is worthy of being cut out and framed!!

Dioramas are great! I did my first not too long a ago (copying a true historical story with it), and boy--can you go back to doing armor minus a diorama?! Wink

I'm thinking I'll put my Sdkfz. 251/1 in a diorama, too. The tricky part is, the version(s) I'd want to do took part in the Battle of Stalingrad; so, that would call for some urban ruins--something I've never done before!

I've seen that pic or one similar before.  Ambitious dio.  Should be a beauty.

Bought an ICM Tiger a few years ago.  Opened the box, looked at everything, and closed it up.  Not yet up to the ability or standards to attempt it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!!  Sorry for the delay but yesterday was crazy with two kids and my sisters dinner!   LOL!

I woke up yesterday and had a wonderful time with the kids!  Then...there I was...sitting in my chair with the kids joyfully playing with their gifts, my coffee in my hand and my SS gift in my lap.  Drifting back to years gone by as a kid and getting models for Christmas!!!  I ripped into gift and almost cried!  I could not be happier with my SS gift!  THANK YOU SS!!!!!  You rock!!!!!  I have been wanting to get this kit and there it is in my lap now!

Again...what an awesome GB and what awesome SS's!!!!

Thank you again SS...it is PERFECT!

Oh my goodness. This one is nice. I have often looked it over at HL, but now I may just have to pick one up. This is super cool.

I have the earlier boxing from a couple years ago... almost falls together. Plastic is on the softer side, typical Airfix.

It looks as though it will be a naval aviation year for me!  My Santa sent me the Hasegawa 1/72 scale EA18 Growler!

it goes perfectly with the Hasegawa 1/72 scale Tomcat and the Trumpy 1/32 Intruder that the wife and kids got me!

thanks Secret...Santa-Man!

Nice, a growler EA-18. Those a super cool. And yes, it will go very nicely with your others.

To paraphrase George Burns, say good morning Gracie.

Santa found the Hasegawa 1/48 B7A2 (Allied code name Grace) Japanese bomber/torpedo aircraft from the late war period.

But one of the elves must have a sadistic streak, for he tossed the PE fret in the box.

Thank you Santa and the elf, I'll try to do you proud.

Pic as soon as I get my old laptop up and charged again.

Ok, we need pics asap. The Japanese planes look so good. I can't wait to see this one.
