Hiram,

This particular build is for scratchbuilding a Trek related subject. No straight from the box kits You can use a kit as a base to build the subject off of..

There is no real formal process to join a build. Just declare you'd like to be in the build by posting a message in the forum. Also, provide a link to an image of the subject you plan to model.

Savion & Robert, You guys are most welcome to join in. Robert I don't see why you couldn't do that vehicle and/or it's shuttle transport. It was called the Argonaut, right? You guys look like you're having a lot of fun! I'd like to join in. Since I only model in 1/25th scale and 1/1400th scale, I think I'll take up the group build challenge in 1/25th scale. That means something small like a shuttle or fighter. Does the 4x4 truck in ST: Nemisis count as a "vessel"? The movie vehicle was based on an Ivan Stewart Trophy Truck. That might make an interesting project. If it has to be a ship I'll probably do a shuttlecraft. I'll submit a photo when I learn how to do it.

Made up the first of two impulse engines. I tried to keep the TNG Stargazer look while adding TOS cues like the conduit and engine shape.
What do you think?

Any more thought on a group build badge? I don't mind using the Baton Rouge image but I want everybody to be happy with the badge. I'll have to get on the net and find a better picture if we go with that one because it is a poor scan from a book (notice the page crease on the left? LOL)

Greeting everyone!!!
I am Supersnooper new member and I am joining the group build. I would like to thank Woody for his invitation to the group, glad to be here. I am known as Riö on another web site, but this forum software wouldn't allow me to use that nickname. So, I have chosen to use Supersnooper, one of my many monikers.
I am still learning to scratchbuild, so I'll be doing a kitbash of the USS Daedalus. I purchased about $110 dollars on acrylic spheres (yes I mean to kitbash) Bow [bow]

just glad I am not married!!!. I got the spheres from Plastruct.com
I am yet to decide on which digital camera to purchase, but it won't be long. I have all the parts required to build the Dae and want to take some shots and post them. I will also build several other ships from the Starship Museum in the future.

Glad to be here guys.

The TOS-Stargazer has pulled into spacedock for continued work.

Today I added the hangar doors on the sides of the primary hull and added some strip detail to the rear sides. The added greeblie detailing on top and bottom of the primary is basically done, but I need to drill some holes to add the running lights from the PL kit.
I am just going to cut the light portion in two and glue them in place.

Unfortunately I have to redo both impulse engine pods as they got spatially displaced (ie: Lost!) at some stage, but they are actually the last major construction jobs to be done.

As this represents the Constellation class in a pre refit state (think of it as having the same relationship to the TNG Stargazer as the TOS Enterprise has to the refit E) the detailing is much simpler while trying to keep representations of the larger details in similar places.

I am thinking that she will be the USS Constellation NX-1974 to represent her development status.

The hull will be--->6.5242" DIA.

I'm planing on doing the Amarillo cruiser in 1/350 scale so if the actual ship measures 126 meters, that should be approximately 14 inches, correct?

The sherical hull is supposed to about 58 meters in diameter so that should be 6.5 inches, correct?

I don't have a particular image in mind. The posted image of your posted project is close to what I was thinking.

Or maybe something like a blueprint image with tools and materials on top of it.
