I have seen people make sheets from tissue paper and white glue, but I have not tried that myself. I would think the T-shirt fabric look would look out of scale, but that os without looking at it. You can try it out and see how it looks and then try the tissue paper way

well, my 105 is finished and painted and winterized and i'll post it in a while for feedback (always looking for critisism from the pros) but I have a question. I want to put a white sheet over part of it for camo effect, but is fabric from an old tee shirt too thick for 1/35 and if so, what's the best way to make one.

I think fotopic is experiencing technical difficulty. Both my stuff and yours has been replaced by the dreaded red X. Oh well. Motivation is on AMC- the Battle of the Bulge is on AMC. The American tanks seem to be Chaffees, which although not used in that big of numbers is close. Now the German M-47's....

well i picked up my m-10. Man this thing is SWEET! I started putting together the turret tonigh and the main gun. There has been some cleaning up but I am just left in aw at the amount of pieces. This is the first armor kitin 1/35 thats not an ancient tamiya or Italeri. I am very excited for this one and I can not wait to finish!

I keep looking at my half finished Bulge dio featuring King Tiger and Schwimmwagen with fallschirmjagers. My first thought on joining this GB was to finish it for the GB. Then I changed my mind and went for the C-47. I'm really struggling with reference photos for that to do the markings. So I'm thinking of going back to plan A.
There's still plenty to do, although it was started before the GB date. Anyone got any objections?

Glenn, don't worry about reading backwards! The first thing I do is jump to the last page! I'm glad you like the whitewash effect. By now you've probably worked back to how I did it LOL
I don't know if anyone noticed but the 88 is in it's 'recoiling' position as if just fired. I built it for a Bulge dio about 18months ago maybe more. I was inspired by the Foy scene in Band of Brothers, where Spiers does his heroic run. However as always I am so slow at modelling I never finished it. Maybe one day.

jwest, i was one of the first models i tried when i got back into modeling, so it could have just been me, but i didn't have fun with it...........

rebel...... if you are running norton internet security, its ad blocking sees the thumbs on fotopic as ads and blocks them..... try this link to help, it worked for me.

I hope I'm not taking this out of context because I'm reading this thread backwards. I like the whitewash on this 88!

rebel- it's got to be a compatibility issue. You probably are lacking the program that reads the type of files that fotopic uses.. It is one of the photoreaders, but I just don't know which

oh, i know. that's cool..... and the day they show up in the mail, i'll find the other ones stowed away by one of my kids and colored on somewhere..... hahahaha.

i built that chaffee kit and got disgusted 1/3 through and never picked it back up. i have told myself i'm boycotting italeria, but I love the M7 and wish there was another maker of the kit out there.

I don't know how their armor is, but from a former aircraft guy, their kits aren't the easiest. Poor fit, spartan detail. I did just buy a Chaffee the other day (had 2 "c" sprues and no "b" sprue). their tracks are really really stiff. By the way, whats the odds of Spamicus having duplicate instructions??
