I wished I would have paid attention more than I did.

The German's add "e"s at the end of adjectives to indicate a feminine noun, but it's just "gut" when used with a masculine or neuter noun.

It's pronounced "zommer-schlooss- fer-kowff"

wo ist mein gepunktet lederhoesen? (where are my pokedotted lederhosen) i love that....

German 2 (my teacher has a lazy eye u cant tell where its looking... and when she clears her throat (every 2 min.) it sounds like a Model T engine trying to turn over)

i put a mix of durham's water putty (powder) and elmers glue on the hull, it will give it the appearance of mud stuck on or snow.... i found the perfect bush to take my evergreen branches off of... and i did some dr. frankenstein on the commander, he has an arm from 2 figs. (well actually they were extra arms, and i swaped his arm with the driver's)

Boy I missed reading about all of you. ( It took about 1 1/2 hrs to read up on all of you) I had to work almost all of Nov. to cover for vacations of other people. Heres an update on myself. I finished my first Duce and half, I just got the 2nd one this week. I'm in the process of making about 32 sitting and standing men. I'm doing a Dio. kind of like in the Band of Brothers were they ride to Bastone in trucks, and they dismount when they get there. My daughter loves that movie, so shes going to build a jeep to put into the dio also. Get this, it came with the decals for the 506th PIR. 101 div. Shes pumped. Its her first model. Anyway Thanx for all the past great tips. Larry

Rebel- you can also say Merry Christmas as "Fröhliches Weihnachten". Not sure which is more common. I knew those German classes would pay off!!

Well, good and bad day, Went to the LHS and I picked up Dragons volksgrenadiers ardeans 1944 and Im gonna make a dio with them and My M-10. Some time I be able to order my Tiger and I'll throw the 101st airborne figs in with it. My M-10 will be around december 23-25. Its gonna be abandoned by the crew when they were having breakfast and were suprised by a German Patrol. Might call it "Frohe Weihnachten" which is German for Merry Christmas. An M-10 being the gift. I dunno.

no the bad, I wont be able to paint until wednesday. Drivers EdBoohoo [BH]

Well, the cold weather is hampering my airbrushing now too. I am set up in the basement, so it isn't terribly cold, but cold enough. It's only about 9 outside now. Darn, what a waste of time,

i think ill go with wood, my putty sticks best to wood, and my dio is going to be relatively flat so i wont need foam, im almost done with all the scratchbuilding, then ill need to put the wheels on, base color on, camo, all the stowage, crew figs, snow, branches, and the base... thats easier said than done...

Put styrofoam on top of the wood. This will allo you to alter the elevation like hills and ditches. Be sure to seal the Wood or it can warp (only if you use celluclay or plaster)

I think wood looks better, personally. If you want to make them, you could try plastic card. Might be easier, but cost more, to get a PE set. Might find some on sale somewhere

jwest- im kinda lookin towards the side skirts, the kit didnt come with it so i'd have to scratch it.....but out of what??? i have soda can aluminum, but i think thatll be alittle too skiny, and i dont have styrene cuz the only hobby shop that has it that i know went outta business......

the fire is far away from the thinner and other flammables, and it is in a wood burning sove, all closed off. But ya, just to make sure Im very careful, otherwise........ lets no go there!

I looked at My vignette, and I am ver displeased with the blood. I used fake halloween blood and it leeked through the snow and looks like way too much. Sigh [sigh] owell, all the other stuff looks pretty good. I really need a fig in there though.

Double D. The sides skirts look really cool, especially if you cut out some of the individual panels and leave them off. I did that on my Panther and my Jadgpanther. Gives it character and that battle worn look. If it is Tamiya, be careful if you do it so you don't end up with a plate with only one attachment point. That would defy gravity!!

I finished up my little Band of Brothers vignette. It is really boring without a Fig so I am definetly going to get one. I havent looked at it today so I dont know how it turned out, Ill go look in bit.

Iterior of the M10 is all painted. In order for me to airbrush I have to wai until I the weekend when I can build a fire to heat my new airbrushing room. (Im in my regular modeling room with no heat)
I have Drivers ed on saturday and My friends 16 b-day on sunday, so Im not sure what i'll get done.

Hey Jason,

Thanks again for the offer. I'm going to play around with it a bit this weekend and see what I can come up with. I'll keep your spares in mind though.

that sucks!!! I think we all know what you re talkng about too. If you want for about 8 bucks including shipping, you can order a sprue from Tamiya. Just a thought.
I got a little bit of interior detail painting done. I am very mad at myself, I used to only paint figs, making me fairly good at figs and small details. Now I suck, When I try to be really carefull I get a shaky hand like on Saving Private Ryan. I gotta practice. I am still wating for the Celluclay to dry for my vignette.

Tamiya made the King Tiger the color of my carpet! Take a flashlight and lay it on the floor. It highlights things laying on the floor rather nicely. I speak for experience....loads of it

i started alittle on the pather, its missing a lot of parts and one of them is the front light.....so i picked up some sprue and inadvertatly start whittling away and making a cone shaped head light......i whittle and whittle, while writing my huck finn paper and i look at the pic of the panther and it isnt a cone shaped light!!!!! i did a pretty good job on it so i stashed it away for a rainy day (raining models that is...) i pick up some more sprue and cut a cylinder one, i get finnished and start drilling a hole for the bulb, when i remember that it is a black out cover!!! i flip it over thinkin ill patch it up..... i finish the cover, put it in my pliers to sand it.... and its gone, it FLEW OUT!!!! to this minute i am looking for it!! WHY DID TAMIYA MAKE A SPRUE THATS THE COLOR OF MY BASEMENT FLOOR!!!!!! AHHHH!!! now i got to start ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!
BUT!!! good news!!! i know which tank im making.....its gonna be #431 franz frauscher...probably a dio of him on the S curve of Highway N15 where he shot up an american column.......i still havent decided.....

OK. I will check tonight to see how many I have. I see you are in WV, so you would have them in a couple days if needed.
