Nice progress guys!

I've got an update on my Monogram D model - The fuselage havles are together as are the top/bottom wing halves. I've got the flaps cut out so that I can drop them a bit. I've got to fill/sand the air intake scoop under the fuselage before I can attach the wings.

I don't have a digital camera so I don't know if the pics I'm taking are going to come out very well or not, but once I get them developed, I will see if I can get them posted.

Steve

wibhi2 watch it friend, i too have a 4.0 megapixel digicam and i love mine. takes great pics in the manual modes, but you gotta have the proper background and lighting, it helps tremendously if you can use natural lighting, and not rely on the flash. GE reveal bulbs are the best source of light when doing photography of your work. later. i spent all of about $30 bucks total to set up my little "photo lab". LOL later.

Chris,
As always, you are correct. It's not the equipment but the user . The camera works great in natural light - never use the flash as it is but what ever light is available. Just not experienced enough with it.
What GE bulbs are you using? The lights over my desk are 50watt mr-16's and a 20watt flouresent. I really need to figure this stuff out.

well here she is so far...

Minus the Moskit exhuast I have on order and the tail wheel doors the cat took off with.

Good view showing my missing tail wheel doors

This one shows the black walk markers on the wings, the left one I got off the right was set and I been scraping at it. I have replacements for it when I get it cleaned up.

thanks for letting me share.... Jeff

Very nice build Jeff. Looks like your Stang is ready to rumble. One small critique, however. The rear canopy, when open, should sit flush to the fuselage side rails with the rearmost portion actually above the fuselage spine. The way you show it open, with the rearmost portion touching the spine, would have been impossible on the real bird.

Thanks guys. Rick when I put the am pit in I messed up on the rails (my first attempt at am), so her glass sits high and a little uneven. Was a great learning experience.

Jeff,

OK now I feel bad Sad [:(]. The paint scheme looks great it really does, it’s just that the weighted wheels were very noticeable in the front on shot.

Cheers

Sorry I've been very lax in my posting.

However, my 2 'stang's have been getting my utmost attention.. I've got future coats on both and really should have been posting some photo's. I'm really liking the looks of the 1/48 AM P-51A. The OD over Gray it looking great. I'll try to post somethinjg tomorrow.

Here we go guys. 2 photos of my in progress builds.

This is the Hasawega 1/32 P-51D with a resin cockpit. She came as a "Checkertail" one of which was the same plane (Double Nothin) that Pix built. However I'm using Aeromaster Decals to do a "Yellownose". The body is Model Master Alumunium (non-metalizer) with a coat of Future. I'm not sure yet, but I'm thinking I might top with "Chrome Silver". Opinions on that???

This is a AM P-51A I'm building Out of the box. I just started decaling and they're coming apart. I may have to go aftermarket.

A couple of great looking builds there therriman.

A question for you, are you going to be putting MM chrome silver over the top or something else, like ALCLAD II?

Cheers

No if I put it on, it would be over the Alum/Future finish you see.

Lookin good Tim. The Chrome Silver would be OK to highlite selected panels, but personally I wouldn't overdo it.
