well here she is so far...

Minus the Moskit exhuast I have on order and the tail wheel doors the cat took off with.

Good view showing my missing tail wheel doors

This one shows the black walk markers on the wings, the left one I got off the right was set and I been scraping at it. I have replacements for it when I get it cleaned up.

thanks for letting me share.... Jeff

Chris,
As always, you are correct. It's not the equipment but the user . The camera works great in natural light - never use the flash as it is but what ever light is available. Just not experienced enough with it.
What GE bulbs are you using? The lights over my desk are 50watt mr-16's and a 20watt flouresent. I really need to figure this stuff out.

wibhi2 watch it friend, i too have a 4.0 megapixel digicam and i love mine. takes great pics in the manual modes, but you gotta have the proper background and lighting, it helps tremendously if you can use natural lighting, and not rely on the flash. GE reveal bulbs are the best source of light when doing photography of your work. later. i spent all of about $30 bucks total to set up my little "photo lab". LOL later.

Nice progress guys!

I've got an update on my Monogram D model - The fuselage havles are together as are the top/bottom wing halves. I've got the flaps cut out so that I can drop them a bit. I've got to fill/sand the air intake scoop under the fuselage before I can attach the wings.

I don't have a digital camera so I don't know if the pics I'm taking are going to come out very well or not, but once I get them developed, I will see if I can get them posted.

Livin a little dangerous are we GlenS? What with the tub of water and all.
Looks great, however

Finally got the interior painted and all - crappy pict, but hey whadda you want from bad lighting and a 4megapixel camera at close range. The IP is a mixture of the true details set and PE set from parts. The seat is PE and I added an aluminum tube and PE part for the flare tube by the throttle control. Also some eduard placards. The floor is a combo of kit/true details and PE.

Thanks Chris. Back in early July I developed a sorta rare form of Shingles ( Chicken Pox Virus ) in my left eye. My regular doctor sent me to a cornea specialist. Tests showed my vision had gone from 20/20 ( corrected ) to 20/400. I was within a few days of going blind in that eye, but thanks to the Doctor & modern medicine I have pretty much recovered. Last tests showed vision to be at 20/25, though it probably won't totally recover due to some permanent scarring. Lack of clear vision & loss of depth perception made modeling almost impossible for several weeks, but it's doable now.

I've been slackin & sidelined with an eye infection, but hope to finish the interior of my Stang in the next few days.

Jeff, sorry to hear of the problem. Any idea what caused it ?

Well now that I kept ya in suspence. I was putting the black stripe decals on the top of the wing and applied the microset to settle them and left it for a day. Something reacted with something and I had this white crusty, lard looking junk all over the decal after a day. I used a tooth to scrape it off and the decal disintergrated on me. So at the moment I have no black wing stripes because I scraped them off.

I know things have died in the backside around here since Blackwolf left, but I signed up for this build and I intend to finish it. At the moment I still have a couple of weeks of work left on my Spitfire for the Aussie GB, which is due to finish at the end of Oct, but once that is done it's on to the Mustang.

I have the Tamiya (P-51B) kit, Aeromaster decals; Eduard PE set & paints sitting on my workbench waiting for me to begin construction.

Jeff, what happened to your Stang, nothing fatal I hope?

Cheers
