Carl, yeah mate the intake on the CAC Sabre is a little bigger in fact the whole fueselage is bigger, it had to be to get the Rolls Royce engine to fit in
Also the CAC Sabre carried 2 cannons instead of the 6 50 cals used in the US machines.....
You do use the Academy or Hasegawa F-86 as a base but you have to order a new resin Fueselage from Highplanes Models to convert the F-86 into the CAC Sabre....
It's going to be a very challenging model for me to make but thankfully i can draw on Sean's experience in making it

The fuselage is wider, longer (fractionally), and deeper, mostly noticeable under the wings where it mates to the fuselage.
The American Sabre is all skinny and girlish with peashooters up front
Usual Aussie manner really.
We take a perfectly good mode of transportation, and wack a dirty big donk in it!!!!!!!!!!!
The CAC Sabre was claimed by some to be one of, if not the, best fighter jet of it's time.
Bit of a shame it never saw any decent combat to base the stats on.
JulesGot the seat belts today
Thanks heaps for that. Never used pre painted PE before, seems like it is worth the extra couple of bucks IMO.
And I'll be glad to help you out if you get any problems with that Sabre, but I reckon you'll be able to get it out in no time.
Just think of it as a big shiny Spitfire
