Okay, time for a panic attack. Noticed the badge in a different forum and for a few moments thought someone had beaten me to the punch on this. When I came here and saw it was for this, well lets just say I like it. If no one else has a problem with these, lets keep'em.

What the heck, put me down for an F-102. I should be able to get to it by July.

I just fiddled around for a while in photoshop and have come up with 2 interim patches, to possibly serve until someone designs a good patch.

Number one:
I was thinking this one could be used for people who plan on building something from the soviet union:

Number two:
for builders of NATO stuff:

Thanks for the support, and i'll try to get some pics, even if i have to draw them in myself!

Zvezda sure makes a lot of obscure soviet materiel. even if the pieces dont fit together.

A Russian GB AND a cold war one? Im in. July is a long way off, so I have some time to decide what I want to build, but it'll most definitely be a Soviet ground vehicle in 1/35 scale.

Welcome aboard guys. Comrade Segei, feel free to ask all the questions you would like. If I can't answer then I'm sure some one else can. Thats the whole idea behind a group build. The sharing of questions and answers, tips, tricks and info.

Hey , overkillphil, you just gave me an idea... I will do my two F-101. One in bare metal and the other in the ugly light grey. Both are the Monogram 1/48.
Thanks.

How 'bout an East German SS-1c "SCUD-B" Short range strategic nuclear warhead delivery system with MAZ-543 Transporter-Erector-Launcher vehicle, or "scud truck"
Made by Shanghai Dragon, 1:35 scale.
Warning: I may not be able to post pictures but I'll try my hardest.
I'm also not too great at model building. Mind if i ask my questions here?

Might be a good home for one of my unbuilt Century series fighters. I'll think hard about it.

CLOSED Cold War Group Build- All Groups-May 1st-Dec 31st CLOSED
Posted by roadkill_275 on Saturday, January 22, 2005 10:42 PM
Anybody be interested in an all inclusive Group Build covering the Cold War Era(1949-1989)? This would cover AirCraft (includes helicopters), Armour, Ships, Figures and possibly even Real Space. I'm looking at a start date of May 1 with a finish date of December 31st. Too make this work I think we would need ten people in each of the three major categories. Both sides of the Iron Curtain would be allowed as would any scale. This will be open only for models that are being done strictly for this GB. If anybody would like to design a badge or three for this, please post them before June 1 so that the people involved can vote on their favorite.

So the rules are:

1) Any Military or Government Agency directly involved with the Cold War allowed.
2) Any equipment used by these groups will be allowed.
3) Fantasy 'what-ifs' won't be allowed.
4) Any Scale.
5) All after market pieces will be allowed.
6) Have fun.
7) No Korean War & Viet Nam models. This is only open to units NOT involved in a shooting war.
8) The GB Badge is usable from the start (free advertising)
9)NO builds from other GBs please. I feel like that is cheating and unfair to others who put a lot of effort into their build for this GB.
10) Cut off date is 12-31-05. No new projects or members after 10-1-05.

Chime in and I'll start a list here.
