No offense taken, not a "commie" anything, but I am building a Hind for the GB - so for me it's fitting. For the record I also build panzers and I'm not a Nazi, and I also build Star Wars models and I'm not affiliated with the Empire, or the Rebellion.

yeah, there are. Check one of the first pages. There is a CG GB patch with a Leopard 2A6 on it.
I think this one fits your requirements...

But my Hormone Helos can easly track USS dallas and...well no, actually they probably wouldn't find it at all, even spotted a clue, especially if the crafty Bart Mancuso is in command of the boat. :-)

And don't work too hard, OK?

I hope you have fun with this kit. There appears to be a wealth of AM parts for it (specifically eduard). Someday I hope to do this kit as well in the hungarian eagle markings

Actually wibhi2, your AH-1G IS acceptable because it was used in W. Germany during the time frame. You'll probably have to find AM decals for it or do them from scratch.

Deal......and your right (I'm so stoopit sumtimes).....I would have to do custum decals anyways as the revell's are worthless as it is. off to research army avaiation units

I always wanted to find this in 1/48, but don't think such a thing exists.

Mine is a Dragon kit, I was hoping to get Italeri's but they sell fast here especially the 1/48 kits-and the best thing is I got it for 260php. -that's about 5usd.Smile [:)]. I also have an Italeri 1/72 KA-50 that I motorized --(shelved at the moment because I lost the decals). I'm thinking of just painting it flat black and pairing it with the Hokum in mid flightSmile [:)]

Roadkill,
based on rule #7, you will need to scratch the AH-1G from my list. The mig21 and F-4 are no problem however (methinks)

Hello guys, I've made the changes needed for this week. Hopefully when the time comes to start building I'll have the time!! I'm working 7 days a week and Monday to Friday is a killer. I've changed departments at work and I'm trying to catchup. I know do collections for the NE Texas and SE Oklahoma area for Kirby.

Welcome aboard cdclukey, I've added you to the list, although we're going to have to watch and keep you seperated from wade and his USS Dallas, don't want no accidental torpedoings here!! (Honest Captain, I was cleaning the torpedo tubes and they accidently went off).

Keep up the good work Beans, I love your patches and evidently so does every one else, I guess unofficially you're our PatchMaster.

Sergei, Peanut oil will work as well. You just have to be careful shooting it througfh the airbrush as it could really gum things upTongue [:P]

yes yes exactly like corn oil. Oil paints are traditonally made by adding food coloring to corn oil...Tongue [:P]

Flat coat, eh.... We'll then i'll guess my model will just have to get cleaner as time goes by. kind of like my orange tank...
And this is not my first attemt at painting! I've painted the landing gear somewhat black, the front of my mig-15 (although the body remains dark gray) my prinz eugen (with the wrong colors) and my su-22 (If anyone is in the mood for a bout of nausea, i'll get you a picture of the "camoflauge" on this kit).
OK, so i need:
Paint (olive drab. No fancy 83.4/16.6 mixture for me!)
Pastel chalks (black, brownish...ish...)
oil paints (?... like corn oil or something?)
bad brush (don't worry, i'm up to my knees in those)
good brush (now that is a problem...)
silver pencil (no fancy "artist pencil" for me)
i'll see what I can get.

You're gonna do your first attempt at painting to, eh?Smile [:)]Tongue [:P]Wink [;)] Well, the normal stuff is pastel chalks, oil paints, a silver artists pencil, black acrylic and dish soap if you want a sludge wash, tamiya gun smoke for exhaust stains (or black pastels), old crappy brushes to apply pastels with, maybe some celluclay for mud if you wanna get really messy, and a nice fine tip brush for making paint chips. Oh and don't forget to flat coat the whole thing when you're done or the pastels wil fall right off.

I love those mini versions of the badge. I think they should be the formal ones. THe bigger ones take up too much real-estate on the signature.

Oh yeah, the white trim on the wheels and other parts of the vehicles would look great on a model.

BTW, I know you've already resolved the start date, but 1 May will be cool because it's May Day and we all remember those Soviet hardware parades in moscow on May Day, don't we?
