Thanks for the warm welcome, this is what I hope my finished project will look like. I suppose I ought to get started!

Quick question, do any of you take computer courses in school? I do, so I get to cruise the forums when my teacher isn't looking... like right now!

shrpspade- welcome... my work space is about the same,I used a desk, hunch over for hours at a time.

O.k. guys I have completed my entry into this GB. It's by Academy. It is a StuG IV. I tried making chipped paint but I think I went overboard a bit, but the effect works. This is also the first time I used a wash and a am really pleased how the wash brought out the detail. So here are the pics...

Hey.
I know I'm kinda late, but I was hoping to join your GB. I'm 15, so obviously I meet the age requirement, and I'll start my model this weekend. It will probably be a Cessna FAC From vietnam. By the way, I read the posts you made about your work spaces. Mine is the box my old Dell came in. I sit hunched over it in my basement. If I don't get a deformed back from modelbuilding, the 60lbs of books I schlepp to scholl will screw me.

I've got a job in a wharehouse packing ball bearings into little baggies. 10 balls a bag for nine hours. It gets mad boring after 10 minutes.
If only there were more water parks in Jersey...

Well it was worth the wait!
My first build (i am building a few) is about 50% done with the building portion- then I have to paint it etc. Its gonna be a DAK sdkfz 10/4, it'll be more of a test model for me though.

hey, thnx for the complements guys!! reb, u didnt need to worry, i started tht thing like last spring, been working on and off with it for tht long, so i cudnt use it in the lst build.

as for the monitor and virginia: the base (water) is painted, the monitor is fairly complete, with a coat of primer on, and the virginia is coming along nicely.

I painted the inside of my Dingo the green of the outside, tomorrow paint the seats and such, you know, then put the other half hull on. Id say I'm at least 20% done.
Hows everyone else doing?

terrific. It's a good thing I don't plan on entering any serious armor in Noreastcon. I'd get whipped. Luckily I'm a bit better at the wing thingys.
