we havent really had a bad flood in my townsince the mian one back in 1933. we got levies around the creek now so no real worries. mudslides? we have some, not mnay, although theres a town near us thats sinking into the ground cuz theyre built on like old flood plains and swamps and crap like tht. i believe its amherst, not sure tho. maybe east aurora.

yea, so have fun with yer 'good' weather. i hope u dont get hit with 2 full inches, itd bring yer whole region to a stand still.....Grumpy [|(]

wow, sorry to hear that guys. that sux.

well, i got back just an hour and a half ago from Rochester where Noreaston was held. alright show, although there were some serious organizational problems. nothing like the show my chapter IPMS iagara Frontier hosted two years ago. that thing was a beast. this was in 3 rooms. non was big enough for a regional show. a lot of the vendor dudes and other IPMS guys from other chapters complained about stuff like that. it was a small show basically, not much bigger than the local show here. plus it was on Mother's Day Weekend, which accounts for the low numbers.

still, i came out alright. i got some stuff in the vendors as did tankmaster. i got some photos on my digital camera that ill post up on the thread in the general topics and/or odds and ends forum. check it out

Greetings, Comrades! I am a Young Guns. and I enjoy Group Build. the #2 figures into much of my homework. Perhaps This is the build for me. I currently have a BMP-2 sitting around without a group build. So, You can put me down for a 1:35 Soviet BMP-2 by Dragon. Just one question. Tanky, you know this one: when was Replicon?

This kit is will be one of the first kits that I airbrush, weather, and put individual link tracks on (gulp) so i'll be asking some* questions. Alson, this patch will interfere with my all red GB patch color scheme. But that's okay.

*the word "some" is a relative term. as such, it can be defined by the user at will. In this case, the term "some" includes but is not limited to any number between 1000 and 2500. All terms and definitions are final. why? because I said so.

Heya guys... Gringe, it was really great meeting you. Hope to see you again at the next Noreastcon.

But seriously, this thing was NOT big enough for an IPMS regional... But I won second place juniors- losing only to- you guessed it, gringe. I got some stuff at the vendors, and won a few things at the raffle. Forgot my digcam so I din't get any pics.

Oh, Joy. Another Commie Comrade. You should Really join the Russian Group Build. There, saying Comrade every other word is all the Rage. We carry on fine dicussions of vodka, gulags, and tree counting. Oh, and some model building in there too.

Anyway, I may not quiter be elligible for this Build. It depends on when I started the Model . Iv'e slapped a couple of pieces on some time ago, But I got the model at Replicon, so I can't have started it before then. Or, could I.......?

Matt, I decided to postpone my 1/35 T-90 project. I'm gonna start up with the 1/72 T-90 I got at Noreastcon. It's kinda going to be prctice because I'm going to mount it ona base with some simple ground work. I looked around, and there's no PE detail for this kit, so anything I wanna improve I'm gonna have to scratch. Also, I might do my dragon halftrack before I do the 1/35 T-90.

(Why all the changes you ask? Because I blew the money I was saving for the conversion on a dremel tool. Or at least I plan to.)

But this teensy kit is gonna be a beast to build. Out come my 2 new botles of that special filler stuff. The track are going to be a pain in the @$$, but mostly that will be covered up with the cool new Mig productions mud making set I got. Big Smile [:D]Cool [8D]

Comrade!!- id love to join with my comrades in arms in the Great People's Russian Group Build, but unfortunately, budget cuts and time delays have forced me to rush work on projects already underway.

Umm reb, could the end date be made later? I'm gonna be hard pressed to finish by then. Especially with finals and such.

Tank, I was thinking the same thing, anybody else?
comrad, I'll add you to the list, go ahead and build the kit.

scratching an interior, have fun! seriously though, if your just going to leave the hatches open for a "down the hatch interior, its not that hard.

I did this one a few months back on my tiger. Was actually very easy.

More Time Comrades! How can we produce war materiel to rival the Americans with Such a limited Time span. The Factories of Volgograd (My model building room) are hard pressed to keep up their current production levels.

In Capitalist speak: I need more time!

My Kit was indeed started after the start date for this Build, So I'm In. As soon as my grandpa gets back from his self-devised quest to get me a compressor for my airbrush, Construction will commencin in ernest.

Ok: First Question:
Does Aribrushing Interfere with Moving Parts? The BMP-2 Has a whole load of working hatches that I am eager to put on. However, I want to know if they will still open if I go over them with an Aribrush. I dont want to paint them seperately, But I also don't want them painted shut.

comrade!! if the hatches should be so that they are left movable in the plans which you are goingst to have, then airbrushing shouldnt pose much of a capitalist problem. just be in the makings of sure that you check the hatches between each of the coats which you wills be in the porcess of puttings on the model, and be in the makings of putting light coats on the model, so as that none of the capitalist paint should be in the ability of sticking together the Great Patriotic hatches of the Great People's Model of the BMP.

happys be your modelings comrade!!
