It's looking good so far Frosty Your skills have been increasing rapidly over the last year or so, but i would like to offer a small amount of advice, I've noticed that a few seams are visible especially in the wing leading edge, If you run a small amount of filler over the seam and give it a quick sand with some 600 grit sandpaper the seams will disappear....Try it out on your next model and i think you will be happy with the resultsThumbs Up [tup]

No worries Tom, you'll probably just have to cut a notch in the straight one so it leans forward a littleThumbs Up [tup]

I'll try the straight antenna first Jules, I imagine the shiping alone on that little antenna would buy you a new kit... I'll let ya know though and thanks for the offer!!!

Well Tom i just checked my stash cause my 2 year old got into my tamiya zero and lost a few parts, thats why i swithched to the Has kit, anyway i do have the curved antenna but unfortunatly it's snapped in half but it still is on the sprue and it's repairable so if you want it let me know and i can send it straight away..............

thanks Jules - I tried a lot of new stuff on that one... weathering with pastels (love it), oil washes (like it but still getting used to it), kit modding (had to make some different mods to make it accurate for a Martlet) etc.. etc.. Probably one of my more enjoyable builds. I am 99% done with the Zero for the Midway build but lost the antenna so might have to post it sans antenna.. I will try to make one but it had a bit of a crazy curve to it and I can't remember exactly how it went.. Oh well there is an optional striaght antenna in there and I might just try to fake it, bend it like the other one even though it is a bit too short.. That one is looking good too.. spent a lot of time researching colors for it etc...

Well I had sort of forgotten about it till the point of buttoning on the final pieces and then I remembered I had one of those Testor decal sets somewhere so I had to go and try it... I think it makes it a lot more interesting than it was... a bit of color never hurts! Wink [;)]

Yeah it came out great Tom I can see how the Testors program would be a great aid for modeling those Fringe builds and Kremp inspired builds.....I may have to invest in it one of these days for a Kremp build cause i imagine it would have been a fun model to buildThumbs Up [tup]

ummm... as far as posting the pics... shouldn't we talk about royalties first?? Wink [;)] No thats fine... I want the entire world to see the Black K!! And that was done with Testors Custom Decal maker Jules... the decal was a little thick so next time I try it I might order some of the custom paper from Micromark and see if it is thinner...

Jules Welcome back Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Sorry to hear about the bike.

Sean On second thoughts don't worry about a Kiwi invasion of Austalia, they're all in the UK, satifying the need for more bar staff, after the Austalian graduated to IT.Wink [;)]

Progress Update

Pics, well 2....

....after some pre-shading and a coat of RLM 65. It still needs a lot of work, which I'll hopefully get around to this afternoon...

...and that lovely gloss white fin.

Hopefully next week might see some of the top camo going on.
