Cool... that's big of you Arki. I've been quiet on the Kremps thing out of defference to you, and in retrospect maybe I should have said something to my comrades as they came in late. But I think we can all get along and have a fun build. As you've seen in addition of the "other" references there's been a lot of info sharing going on. I'd like to see all that continue and not have you drop out.
as you said.. Model on!!!!

LOL I’m glad I didn’t start with original begin date-- April 15th 05
As for me, I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to build yet… But I have many ideas

Roll on the 1st of March then, when the modelling begins.
Obviously I haven't a clue what I'm going to build yet.

I couldn't agree more. Which is why I offered to bow out the first time instead of being the guy bitchin and moanin through the build. In hindsight perhaps I was a bit passive-aggressive about the whole thing. My apologies to Wooverstone and everyone else. I have no desire to impose my set of rules or views on anyone as this is a public forum and an enjoyable one at that.
But, that doesn't change my opinion about this running gag called Kremps. It's not funny anymore. It was for several pages. Several GB's and pages upon pages later it's not.
Anyway, do what you want. I've expressed my opinion, but I refuse to be the guy who ruins anyone's fun. I'm not dropping out of this thing even if it turns out to be a Kremps feista.

We did have this discussion, I forgot. Well, I don’t want anyone to leave this GB and also a huge distraction (W/Kremps)may result in poor turn out in finish models for this GB , If that were to happen there would be almost purpose for this build then. Will have to ask Kremps to leave politely. Sorry Kremps…

Karl i agree and furthermore i'd like to add that during the BoB GB, Midway and the NA GB it wasn't post after post of Kremp talk, The Na GB alone had 18 finished models which speaks for itself...........
However if this is going to be a problem then i myself will not mention the Old Girl again and stick strickly to modeling because i'm not going to drop out of this GB and i don't want to be responsible for Arki30 dropping out.........
Now having said that I'd like to ask whether or not any of you fellows has an idea which of the 2 Swordfish actually dropped the torpedo which jammed the Bismarks rudder.........

<sigh>
Before this Kremps thing takes off again, please see my earlier comments about it here:

I do really hate to be the guy peeing in the pool. I appreciate good camaderie on the forum as much as everyone else, but not this Kremps thing. Let it go.
It's kicked the bucket. It has ceased to be. It is an ex-joke.

Hey guys ¿what's up?
Thanks wooverstone for letting me post the pic and thanks a lot Jay, for posting it for me
Well, i'll try to do some comments about the work done, but first, you'll have to forgive my inacurate English with the use of some, maybe innapropiate terms
I've found the kit cockpit kinda lacking of details, cause, instead of having the side consoles like in the real plane, it have two side panels with very poor relief details
So, surfing the net around, looking for some Hellcat cockpit pics, to improve my hellcat cockpit details, i found Rodney Williams "Pictorial Essay on how to build a 1/32 F6F-3 Hellcat" with tremendous cockpit details in an awesome piece of work
I had some 050mm Styrene pieces and use them for making the consoles and a piece of 2mm Styrene worked for making the engine control quadrant and for the quadrant levers, i used Tooth brush ¿hair?, gluing all in place with super glue, The port side console it's made with the same 050mm styrene and with some of the relief details, removed from the side panels and gluing them to the styrene
I use also some 014mm aluminium sheets, to simulate the switches quadrants on the consoles and to add some details to the cockpit floor
I still will add couple more details to the cockpit and then, when i get the interior green paint, i'll paint it and then "whash" it
I wanted to work on the rudder pedals, but an X-acto knife and a piece of sand paper glued to a piece of wood, are not enough tools to do a jo like that
I definetly have to focus on saving cash over a year, to ask my friend to buy me a dremel moto-tool
Well guys, hope you got an overall idea, as my English really sucks
As soon as i get a digital camera, i'll take more pics
Best Regards & Happy Modeling

Jay
Sure, no prob, it would be a pleasure to share my work with ya all Wooverstone ¿would you mind if i post a picture here?
I made a collage picture, with some of the work i made so far, in my Hellat cockpit I tried to post it in my topic, but for some reason i couldn't upload it I asked for some advice, but didn't got an answer So if wooverstone agrees, i can send you Jay, the picture by email and you can upload it here for me and then i can make the comments ¿what you say?
About mailing stuff to cuba, it's ok, my friend Ross from canada sent me the Hellcat, plus some FSM mags and some tools in a box and everything have arrived just fine and in less than a month Now i'm waiting to recieve another parcel from him, with couple of models, more mags, a bottle of paint and other stuff
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out, right now
Best Regards & Happy Modeling

Raudel, is mail order from Canada or Mexico totally out of the question? Will customs confiscate things in the mail to you? I remember you talking about your Hellcat from earlier this year and would love to see your work if you could get your hands on a digital camera.
Top find hobby shops in Paris, try this link
