Nice pit Rick.  Are the instruments the film from the PE IP with the back painted white? Or deacls?

Making me feel inadequate again Rick! But seriously, that’s a sharp looking office. Thumbs Up [tup]

I’m afraid I’m making a mess of my P-47, I’m in salvage mode now. I’ll post pics if the operation is successful. Sad [:(]

Bob, you did a great job on the 'stang.

Don't worry about the little things, the model as a whole looks very good.

Rick, stunning job on the pit. The IP is amazing.

Dave Sign - Ditto [#ditto] on the Jug keep up the good work.

Here is the progress report on my Spit .  The underside is painted and maked and I applied the top coat of Gray.  This morning I installed the horizontal stab when its dry I'll fill in the seems and apply the final top coat of Gray.  I'm hopeing by midweek to mask the upper surface and apply the Dk Green.

Here is a pic of my progress.

Great progress everyone.

Bear, that dental pick looks cruel. I hope you only use it on the styrene!!!

As for me I am going to have to officially pull out of this GB. I wasn't planning on doing home renovations when I signed up for this earlier in the year but as a result I am way behind in my builds. Sorry Jay, I'll catch the next one.

Well I've had a slight set back on my Jug. Stay tuned later today for some pics of what can happen when acrilyc paint, Future, alcohol, Windex and a complete idiot are allowed to be in the same room...at the same time Sigh [sigh]

No kaboom, but that may have been preferable to what actually did happen.

Here I have a Jug on the down hill side of done. Assembled, painted and all glossed up…then I decide to try a bit of weathering. Applied a wash to the upper portion of both wings. Didn’t like it, so I get the bright idea of washing it and the future off the upper wing surfaces only. Figured that I could control the effect of the Windex by lightly applying it and rinsing frequently. Hey, it worked! Wash gone, O.D. paint still there.

Now for the idiot part. Where do you think all that Windex went when I rinsed it? That’s right…underneath

So, hopefully I can recover using some creative masking and spraying. Hate it when that happens.

ehhh, well, I never actually got going with this GB before I moved, and 5 months later, I still haven't finished moving in (the builders are still doing stuff, and my model room is a dumping ground).  As this GB will soon be over, and I don't think I'll have the time to complete a model before the end, I must, regretfully drop out.  I've been optimistic about the builders, but reality is a different matter!

Dave-I feel for you my friend.  Only advise/thoughts I can offer is maybe to mask and then prime-otherwise I think it would be difficult to get the color to even-out.
