Awesome Duke did you handpaint that or airbrush? I'll probably go get some of the kits i'm building this weekend.

Hey does anyone make a 1/72 flakpanzer?

Hasegawa makes two of them: a Wirblewind with quad 20mm guns, and the Ostwind, armed with one 37mm gun. I have both built if you'd like to see pics, I can post them. Just let me know.

I've been slacking off on the GB badge that I promised you on the weekend but I haven't forgotten.  Let me know what you think.  Changes cost extra Wink [;)]!

OOPS!  Should be 2006!  DUH!  will make that change right away.

Edit:  Much Better!

I like it.

I don't have a problem with it. I've already saved it to my Hard Drive and will be wearing it once I get done. Of course, I'll need to edit all my badges and put them together so they look good.

I got my Jagdpanzer IV clearcoated for decals and a wash; next I'll start on one of my other German armor kits...

Today I went and bought some chalk pastels and wash my Armourfast 1/72 Jagdpanther. Does anyone know if the Jagdpanther ever had a All over panzer grey scheme?

I doubt it but I could be wrong. The panzer grey was phased out by the time the Jagdpanther was in  production I believe. Again, someone more knowledgeable may know more.

Well I did some research and late war Jagdpanthers were grey when they ran out of yellow paint.

That is awesome! Great camo pattern, very original! I tried to post pics of my finished Jagdtiger and the start of my Panther F but then my hard drive crashed. I'm on the wife's PC so I have no access to my pics. Once I get my other PC back up, I'll have pics posted.

That is great! I also got started on two more Dragon models of German armor. I started the 1/72 scale German Jagdpanther with Zimmerit and the 1/72 scale German Jagdtiger Porsche version. The Panther F is fully basecoated and needs the track installed before I camouflage the rest of it. That's where I stand so far. Once again, when my PC is re-assembled with a new Hard Drive, I'll take pics and post them. By that time though at the rate things are going, I'll be done with these as well before my PC is back up!

Stay tuned....

Well, I built the Dragon StuG IV but not the III. If it is anything like the IV, it should be a great kit. One thing I liked about the StuG IV was the wheel hubs molded seperately so the tires could be painted seperately.

There is alot of detail on this Jagdtiger; even so, this kit is easy to assemble and fairly falls together. The main gun does not elevate well, but then, that is a very minor point when you consider how detailed everything else is. Once I get the Jagdtiger finished, I'll take a pic of it next to my very old Esci Jadgtiger that I built over 25 years ago. This should be intersting!

Bottom line, Panzer Wulff: Go for it!Approve [^]Thumbs Up [tup]

Count me in.

I'll be building the Dragon Stug IV Early.  It comes with a lot of neat stuff in the box.

Looks fantastic.  Nice work.  I'm glad that I've got 11.5 months to break open the kit now.

This is just a warning.  I love Hasegawa armor, but that particular kit has a bit of a flaw with it.  When you build the panzer IV tanks from Hasegawa, there are chunks of plastic that allow/force the tracks to have a sag.  The Jagdpanser IV kit does not have these little hunks of plastic.  This forces the tracks to be long by about 1/8" to 1/4", and there is no built in sag.  You may want to use pins or fishing line to force a sag in the tracks.

Otherwise, I loved the kit.

Thanks for that warning. I actually found that on my Jagdpanzer IV lang, the tracks fit very snug. I didn't notice whether there was anything to introduce the sag though. Now that it's complete, I'll check it and see if it is necessary to add pins to drop the sag. Thanks Grant for the heads-up.

Mine were looser than loose.  Send photos when you can.  I believe that I built the Lang also.

Okay. I'll take some new ones. Mine are all backed up on a CD and the originals are unaccessible on my olther drive. I'll try to have them posted in a day or so.

I plan on starting the Dragon Stug IV Early tonight.  It should be fun, and I'll keep you posted on how it is going.  I'm going to probably go with a simple camo pattern of green stripes only.
