This is a kit that dates, I think, from the early '70s.
It has a generally good level of detail, though soft by today's standards, and it doesn't detail what each individual item of kit is, which would be helpful to those of a younger vintage than myself.
Here is the box, which dates, I think, from the early '90s:

You glue the left leg to the right leg, and paint the pants light grey:
You glue the chest to the back, and paint the shirt red (this will be a duller red by the time I'm finished):
Sideburns were in fashion, I'm sure:
And a black felt hat (Shako) was the ultimate in style, if not protection:
The musket was as brown as it's nickname (Brown Bess):
Edit: You can see on the photos where the paint has been chipped off/ rubbed off. I pre-painted most of the parts with oils prior to assemby. I will finish off with a few different sorts of paints, and hope that the end result will have a decent "depth" of colour.
