That's OK- the fun is in giving the kit. I can bet that whatever kit you give- you've never given it to that person before! Wink [;)]

Getting a kit you already have is actually cool, because then you can do a different camo scheme, unit markings etc.  I would love that! Smile [:)]

and jwb: i think the wish list is to facilitate the sender's search for a kit, and to make sure it will like to the receiver

Just a note to all- I'll post any notes, news, etc, in the first post on page 1 of this thread, just so everyone will be able to find the latest news easily without having to try and read through every post.

Of course, I'll also be posting regularly in the running discussion, but I thought having a sort of "digest" of info would be helpful.

Thanks to everyone for their support!

Welcome aboard!

What I'm advocating is if there is any particular cultural, religoius or other reason along those lines, certainly let me know so I can pass that along. But I think the fun part of this will be focusing on the giving aspect, rather than the getting. I think folks will see the fun involved in picking out a really unique kit for their recipient will be very rewarding!

Thanks for joining!

As for my problem I had the following idea:

I could buy something on a US on-line store and have it sent to "my chosen one" and bill it on my credit card. This should cut the shipping and the handling risks. Hopefully!
My "Secret Santa" could do the same: I can give him (through you, jwb) the name of a good Italian on-line store with an English language section. He could have the model shipped to me and billed on his card.

Banged Head [banghead] D'OH! Reread some posts and saw you already proposed something like that! Banged Head [banghead]

Sturzkampf, I don't know how old you are but here are 2 things you might want to ask them too.

1. Have it sent it a P.O.Box

2. Have it sent to there work.

I know with my kids I would rather have it send to one of them then to my house in this day an age.

Just my My 2 cents [2c]
